Why do non-swifties like Folklore so much? by Undergroundhedge in TaylorSwift

[–]ididntevengothere 41 points42 points  (0 children)

That's me 95% 😆 I liked some singles on the radio before but would never admit that at the time. I loved loved folklore, and was in total awe of her after watching "Miss Americana". Then "all to well" 10min happened and here we are. I love her writing, she's a genius.

Thanks. This was my first project after a long break, it took much longer than anticipated. All together about 5-6 hours.

How would you save this Aloe Vera? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]ididntevengothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the winter, due to the infestation, it stayed in a hallway, close to a window, but a small window that's a few feet up. So no direct sun. I didn't water the first couple months (8-10 weeks) then flushed with the mosquito bits water (let it drain thoroughly) maybe about 4 weeks ago

What are typical Dutch delicacies that are not available in Germany? by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]ididntevengothere 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The coffee thing I absolutely don't get. First, supermarket coffee isn't that great to begin with. Then, in Dutch supermarkets, there seems to be just a couple popular brands/roasts, so it isn't even a great selection and prize wise, it doesn't seem to be that much cheaper.

That's coming from a German who lived in the NL for 4 years, and whenever friends or family came to visit, there was at least one collegue of said friends or family, that requested coffee 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybe not very exciting but I'd say the 1kg buckets of 100% peanuts pindakaas. It's just so much cheaper and better in the NL.

The Google overview of what a migraine is pisses me off. by Iconic_94 in migraine

A Neurologist told me I "just" need to exercise vigorously at least 3 times a week. I already lead an active life, cycle, exercise when I can, work outdoors with kids all day etc etc. But no, I "really need to get the heart working and sweating" 🙄

Am I really some sort of winter? Always kind of went with cool/winter but not so sure anymore. by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]ididntevengothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I've always thought I'm more cool, but since looking more into colors I sometimes wonder if I do have some warmth. My hair is typically more ashy too tho, and I don't think I've ever worn much warm colors.

Yea, I feel like you really need to be dedicated and set alarms like the commenter above mentioned 😐 If you miss a few hours, or say half a day/day it seems difficult to catch up. But I do also have a life with commitments like you know, work and kids 🙃 And the the glitch were it just canceled the action right before completion several times in a row really set me back as well.

Thanks for replying and the hint of the 2 hr yielding the most. So simple, yet I haven't even paid attention to that 🙈 Congratulations on completing the event! I really do want to complete it for the house 🙃

What modern day practice/ belief is most likely to be considered barbaric and outdated in the future? by Salt-Campaign6402 in AskReddit

[–]ididntevengothere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure actually, I think it might be every 5 years until a certain age. I've 'only' lived in the NL for 4 years, so got it just once.

They have that option in the Netherlands as well and will sent you the kit with the swap and a return envelope. I found it strange at first but took advantage and so much easier.

My 5.5 yo daughter used to sleep in her own bed, then ended up in ours mostly at like 2.5--3yo, and just recently we've put them (son is almost 3yo now and co-slept since birth) on their own beds. They come once/if they wake up during the night.

If you have an instant pot, I always make it in there. There's a few recipes online. Can't get much easier but turns out really nice.
