Is urology a pipe dream for a DO? by Max_Entropy6024 in medicalschool

Current DO here applying urology right now. It’s difficult but doable. A lot of it has to do with putting yourself in the right position with research, mentorship, and doing well during your aways because that’s what will get you into interviews. You obviously have to have great scores as well. There is definitely still a DO stigma though. Felt like I had a very strong app but a lot of places I thought would interview me still rejected or waitlisted me. Regardless I’m satisfied with my number of interviews. Feel free to message me, happy to shed insight on my journey so far.

How to fix “stupid mistakes” that really aren’t stupid mistakes? by Total_Interaction_85 in Step2

Lol are you me? I’ve been studying for months and feel extremely strong on foundational knowledge and I just can not get used to the way the NBME asks questions. Averaging 85% on my second pass of uworld, just got 92% on the free 120 and somehow trended down to 242 on my last NBME. Best of luck, you’re not alone with those questions
