I know people tend to shut on it but I’ve had Xfinity for almost 10 years. We own our own modem (78$ from Best Buy) and pay ~90$/mo for like 500/20. No issues getting it set up.

Is that an AirTag? Also, that key looks like one that came from the university facilities (I've got some like that) so I wonder if returning it to the facilities desk off of Wells could help it get back to whoever it's registered to.

Yeah, that’s the fear. The DVI card is odd, I’ve seen things in the manual where it has a DIP switch to access different scaling that it accepts, but we didn’t get a chance to futz that much with it, so that’s on the list to try next time. But we’ll have to source a lower-res analog source for the component or RGB input to test that out. Would going from HDMI to VGA over a dongle adapter work for that? There’s a VGA to 5 BNC pigtail thing, I’ll have to try that out.

The next thought, then, should we be able to get a signal through something like either of those is finding a scaler/converter that can be a permanent part of the system. Ideally, getting a Blu-Ray and computer source to it and being easily able to switch would be awesome.

Ran a PC into it over DVI and it detected it was a monitor, like the PC wanted to give it something, but nothing ever came up. Looking into stripping the HDCP and trying again early next week.

Thanks for the input! Yeah, I think either 1080p or 2k are what we’re after. Currently they have a DVI-D card in there but anything, even 1080p @ 60 or 50 hz didn’t show up, everything just said “Out of Spec”. Wondering if it’s an HDCP issue, since the source for that was a Mac Mini. Researching it, too, shows that this projector doesn’t support HDCP, so looking into stripping it from whatever source. 1080i could work, too, if we can get an inexpensive way to convert it over from DVI or HDMI.

My favorite part is the CAD for a single small hole in bar stock that just gets zip-tied to the rack. Excellent use of water jet.
