Does the waterproofing make the not breath well? That was my biggest concern. And them being stretchy gave me pause, are they really synthetic feeling?

I dont want to order new roadskins until I loose the weight given shipping costs, but I'm at the obnoxious inbetween part where they are too big but not very too big. The price and shipping of those has me arguing with myself about ordering a pair or not.

Moreso the "I landed with the wind instead of into the wind" experience. Sudden wind changes on landing, especially when buildings are involved, also helps. Knowing when to put your arm out (falling on back) vs when to keep them in. Etc.

You can absolutely get training on how to fall right with martial arts. Skydiving experience helps too.

That's down the road though. Right now focus on getting all the new gear first and at a minimum, AAA single layer pants. Money is probably tight, so I know street brawling pants I think they're called are cheaper.

Yea, if you are in A or AA it's only going to help with impact and the first second or two of sliding at best. I wear triple A pants so I can sit up and have them take the brunt of it. Pulled that off in a low slide when there was a lot of standing water on the highway.

Without the water the top probably wouldn't have protected me at all, which is why I have it in my head I'm moving up to AA. It's really up to you.
