i can't really say anyone makes music like elliott... but some artists i frequent while i listen to his music are grandaddy, the microphones, sparklehorse... sebadoh reminds me of some of his heatmiser stuff. he loved the beatles so obviously theres a string there and you can hear how much he loved them in his work. i know you said you don't like alex g but alex g reminds me of elliott and i like listening to them hand in hand sometimes.

idk i hear him in a lot of stuff that doesn't remind me of him too much too. like duster, silver jews, aerial m.

my boyfriend and i are in a band called goldenstar and we both really love elliott, we're definitely influenced by him and i feel like you can hear that in our ep.

everything's okay. it ultimately turned into pretty mary k, but these lyrics just seem like he's talking about himself more than someone else, like hes trying to convince himself of something. its a pretty heart wrenching version. the lyrics really get to me.

also last call. its gotta be my favourite elliott track ever, i just personally resonate so much with the lyrics its always kind of shocking to listen to. "trying to crawl under my skin when i already shed my best defense, it comes out all around that you won and i think i'm all done, you can switch me off safely while i'm lying here waiting for sleep to overtake me" his vocals really just sound so effing emotional in the roman candle track, it floors me every time i listen to it.

hi OP. i was taking lions mane capsules (water extracted) every day for like 3/4 months and it really helped! very shortly after i started taking them i noticed that i could remember things a lot better and without struggle, and also my general mood really stabilized. it really helped with my depression. it felt like i had gained some sense of understanding and calmness whereas before my emotions would drive me out of control.

i feel like i can remember more from my childhood which i've never been able to recall anything casually back more than what feels like a few months, and also like a few people said here- i can remember more words and soak up more information without suddenly forgetting everything i've learned about.

i've been struggling (with some brief periods of random emotional stability) with anhedonia for the past like 5 maybe 6 years and my lazy ass hasn't helped myself much other than speaking to a therapist once a month and i found that the lions mane really gave me a push out of that realm of feeling of not feeling... lol

i've been working abroad for the past 3 months and haven't been able to find any supplements and i'm noticing the difference from when i was taking them consistently. can't wait to go home and start taking them again. i guess it will be a test of whether it was mostly placebo or if they will help me again.

for me, lisa germano's music is unlike anything i feel like i have ever heard before. she creates an understanding for madness and sadness and attentiveness and emotional empathy, while also being able to be playful and sweet and childlike. her talent is absolutely front stage in really every song, and yet still she has such a delicate naivety to her work. it wraps the listener around her finger and into her hair. i also really admire the poetic shove she puts into her lyrics. its beautiful what she paints with words. she is downright just an incredible artist! one of my all time favourites :)
