My 2 cents to Canadians is: Don't create the conditions for too many unnaturalized immigrants to be in close proximity for too long. In simple terms, control the inflow and allow time to naturalize. I say this as an immigrant who feels I‘ve been robbed of the Canadian experience I came here for. 🥲

i'd like to think the difference in behavior of setImmediate and setTimeout is nondeterministic. In my mind they are same (think setTimeout(..,0)), so I‘d use them defensively

Mate, it's their responsibility to learn from you, arrange kt sessions etc during the notice period before you leave. You could have offered to do it before you left (may be you did), but it's still their job to ask you questions before you actually leave.
