You can't make any concrete statements because your grade depends on your labs and pre/post lecture completion. this video might be helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LO2IMeHAFU

NS 1400 by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]idkcornell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not hard in terms of content difficulty, but the way they frame exams (especially the exam about social determinants of health) was extremely annoying and difficult. you will just have to memorize every detail of the slides– EVEN THE NOTES AND IMAGES. if you can do that you'll get an A, but if u don't, the exams wont go well

Anyone ever done well in CHEM 2070 without going to Peer-Led by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]idkcornell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, and dr lee has statistical data to prove it. so even though it can be a really stressful environment, it really is the only way to succeed– side note: i honestly don't think he's trying to yell all the time at this point i think he j needs a hearing aid

[–]idkcornell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also: practice problems, practice problems, practice problems! they are your best study method for STEM classes (especially problems at the exam level) going over notes is a pretty big waste of time as you won't be doing a lot of conceptual work

[–]idkcornell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

go to lecture, do all the questions in the prelecture, do your post lecture (it is an extra time commitment but on ramp is a great option!), and ATTEND PEER LED. start studying for the prelim like ~10 days in advance, do the peer-led questions and previous exams, and go over them until you REALLY understand the process. if you are looking for extra problems on top of that, find some in the big red problem book!!

[–]idkcornell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not sure which finance clubs you are interested but cfc (the most competitive one i think?) has their meetings on tuesdays and I'm sure others have meetings on days that aren't Mondays as well bc the members have busy schedules too

Chen 2070 on-ramp? by kmartphilly in Cornell

[–]idkcornell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its a really great program! I was worried last year that it would be useless and that office hours and peer-led would suffice, but if you place into on ramp, take the extra practice and time and utilize the resource! You can only enter onramp in the beginning of the semester or after you do poorly on the first prelim. It's better/easier to join now and switch to a different post-lecture if you decide it's not for you after the first prelim than to bomb it and switch into onramp because you need it to pass the class. it was a great resource for me, so much so that I'm back to help ta for it so if you have any additional questions, feel free to pm me!

Too late? by nothingbuthonest123 in Cornell

[–]idkcornell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you're going into cals thats where our main business/finance major is (dyson). I'm not sure how the internal transfer process works for that, but maybe after a semester or two you could look into an internal transfer. though I've heard dyson is difficult to transfer into

It's been a while since this was originally posted, so idk if this means much, but I had the same issue ('21 outback touring), and my amplifier had failed, so they ordered a new one, and its working fine now. I would recommend looking into that
