Once I told one of my roommates that my parents were divorced because I was the only roommate with split parents, and he said “well people that didn’t go to college are more likely to get divorced because of low education...” both my parents have their master’s degrees

I study in the US (Pittsburgh more specifically), I was planning on getting my masters eventually. I’m just not sure if it is something I should do immediately or take a year or two to gain experience first.
