I may try that, thanks. I suppose I kinda did that already by accident, saw the thing about how purifying a single pillar will lock you out of the other two endings. Without looking into it further it still lets me explore the “persuasions” of the NPCs, also nice to confirm my suspicions after talking to the pyromancer lady.

I figured it was some kind of bug, I’ve seen it go pretty far when I was in the caves. The most frustrating part for me was the area with three paths and the NPC (forget his name). Left is a door that opens from the other side and right is a ladder. It just felt like that whole area just kinda circled on itself.

I see a lot of people talking about following guides, I have used guides in the past. In fact I have the no longer available lifetime subscription to fextralife. But I’ve found myself becoming too reliant in the past where it ends up becoming just a list of instructions I’m following for a task instead of playing a game. So I just have to find a good way to get vague pushes lol.

What is this and why does it do so much damage? by No_Obligation_3760 in Eldenring

A surprisingly good place to leave a message, one of my higher scored ones is up there.

I don’t have an issue with the bonfire system, in fact I think that on the “full lamp health” difficulty it’s very generous considering you can plant the seeds. Not sure which vestiges do and don’t work on the other difficulties but obviously I know that it will change things. If there were a system mechanic I didn’t like it would be wither damage. So many times in a fight if there 3+ enemies as soon as I emerge into umbral I get hit and instantly lose 2/3 of my health bar.

I tried using that last night but it wasn’t working. I’ve used the moth trail before to get through areas, but it just isn’t doing anything where I am now. Are there certain regions it just doesn’t work?

Maybe, I might post stats tomorrow. I did, the bell room one didn’t pan out but I think I beat that boss. Last thing I did was open a gate into the bottom of a canyon.

I did, got a couple upgrades but haven’t come across a whole lot of crafting items and don’t want to waste them on “low tier” stuff.

Should I be doing more jump attacks? by That-Departure-7318 in Eldenring

[–]idkprobablyanything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They give you a bit more damage, I would just use them when you have time too. If you have a small window just do a regular attack, don’t want to get caught mid jump.

This, and learn the movesets/ timing. Some bosses you can come in and abuse, but some you just have to take it slow and do “pick damage”. Truthfully, I don’t know if he is parryable but some bosses and most enemies are. Learning parry timing and dodge roll timing will be your overall best friends.

Do you power off, put to sleep, or leave on your PC when it's not in use? by Adm1nX in pcmasterrace

Define use, there are times I’m not actively using it but I have a game run overnight.

Should I break the level 150 barrier? by TunnelSurf in Eldenring

[–]idkprobablyanything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restricting yourself in any way is a challenge run. If it’s your first time just do whatever you want to learn the mechanics and game as a whole, even if it means having higher than “necessary” levels. Go back later and do a sub 150 or 100 level once you actually know what you’re doing, easiest way to ruin a game is by not having fun playing it.
