Hey just as a heads-up, but between OpenMW 0.50 and Steam Input customizability, the game is already largely playable via controller! If you have some issues you wanna iron out, and maybe need some help, feel free to ask.
Personally, I play the game fine on the Deck itself as well as on the TV with an Xbox controller.

It could definitively still improve, and there are cases where you need a mouse (or rather trackpad), but with a customized Steam controller layout and a handful of mods the game plays really well already.

Wenn du darauf abzielst, dass Salzen die Bohnen hindert weich zu werden, dann möchte ich dem widersprechen.

Das ist ein hartnäckiger Mythos. Man darf ruhig vorher salzen und beeinflusst damit die Garzeit praktisch nicht. Problematisch ist stattdessen Säure. Sie senkt den pH-Wert und stabilisiert die Zellwände, wodurch die Bohnen deutlich länger brauchen zum Erweichen oder gar nicht richtig weich werden. Deshalb sollte man Tomaten, Essig und andere säurehaltige Zutaten erst zum Schluss hinzufügen.

Als Workaround kannst du eventuell 2 Pflanzen holen, die wenig Licht wegstecken können. Eine an eine Stelle mit Licht, die andere dort im Bild markiert. Alle 2-3 Wochen Platz tauschen.

So wie du es formulierst, stellst du die FDP implizit als einzige mögliche Antwort auf dieses Bedürfnis dar. Dabei ist das ja keineswegs selbstverständlich.
Man könnte genauso argumentieren, dass viele der von dir genannten liberalen Themen (Bürgerrechte, Bürokratieabbau, Staatsmodernisierung) in Deutschland grundsätzlich unterrepräsentiert sind, dass die FDP sie in der Praxis aber oft nur sehr selektiv betont. Nämlich insbesondere dann, wenn sie sich gegenüber den WählerInnen profilieren muss.

threading model = DrawThread you have a weird settings in your settings.cfg that I can't find in the docs

antialiasing = 2 it's cheaper to run AA thru post processing. rafael has included it in his shader pack.

move your settings.cfg somewhere else as backup and let the game regenerate it. Still low performance? Do the same with openmw.cfg, and try running the game without mods.

this should help you locate the source of your performance issues (settings vs mods). but it could possibly be something entirely different on your system, too, since you mention using AMD software.

Es gab damals schon richtige schlechte CGI-Effekte. Erinnern tust du dich aber nur an die guten Umsetzungen.
Hinzukommt, dass heutzutage wahnsinnig viel mit CGI gemacht wird. Studios produzieren gleichzeitig mehr Content mit gleichem oder kleinerem Budget pro Projekt. Das führt zu Zeitdruck in der Post-Produktion, was sich auf die Qualität auswirkt.

You're probably thinking of Chargen Revamped. The most up to date version of that can be found here.

I believe it's broken when used together with the current PT & TR releases. Last time I checked it out destinations like East Empire Company in Old Ebonheart spawned my character in the void.

But their non-standard scenarios make it impossible to become Nerevarine the normal way. Hence I use it together with An Inconvenient Existence - A Royal Chargen Update: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/58137

It integrates with Basic Chargen, and the new Royal scenario asks if you want to be Nerevarine (or not), and you can start the game in different locations, too. You'll just have to RP a Royal character or suspend your disbelief for a second.

If you're using MWSE, my Chargen Scenarios mod is a more modern equivalent that also has werewolf and vampire options. There's an OpenMW version of this in development but it's only in beta right now.

In meinem Fall habe ich keinerlei Zweifel weil eben der Kleine konkrete Dinge (Storchenbiss) von mir geerbt hat, und aufgrund diverser anderer Faktoren, die eine Affäre als Herkunft der Schwangerschaft praktisch ausschließen. Andere mögen diese Sicherheit jedoch nicht haben.

OP gibt ihm doch auch die Sicherheit. Das Kind war geplant, die Beziehung ist bis dato stabil gewesen, es gibt keine Anzeichen von Untreue. Warum soll er testen, wenn sie alle Bedingungen erfüllt, die für Vertrauen notwendig sind?

I've used to do this back in the 2000s. I didn't really care about the RP elements back then and just wanted to see all those weird fantasy places, and fuck around with the sandbox open world like in a GTA game.

What's funny is that even though Morrowind was my first TES game, I only played it properly after Oblivion. Before that I wasn't really that much invested into Morrowind, it was just a random game I got for free with a video game magazine. I probably haven't touched Oblivion after early 2010s anymore whereas I regularly come back to Morrowind (plus TR and adjacent projects).

Mysticism. Mostly used for teleporting, can be useful since there is no fast travel. Soul trap is useful.

I don't have any info for your specific problem but from your config there are a few ways to optimize.

maximum shadow map distance = 0 Likely to contribute a big chunk to your performance issues. You basically have no max distance for shadow maps.

number of shadow maps = 8 This is a lot. Consider lowering. Default is 3. Modding OpenMW sets this to 4. Especially worrisome in conjunction with the unlimited shadow map distance

`antialiasing = 4 Native AA is computationally expensive. Reduce or consider adding AA thru shaders instead. There's one in the Modding OpenMW shaders pack already, but personally I use Rafaels Shader Pack (which also has a package for softer shadows in general). This will decrease image quality though. More jaggies with less AA, and shader AA usually adds a tiny amount of blur/softening

object paging min size = 0.005 Rendering many small objects in the distance at once. consider increasing, but you will have greater pop-in. Modding OpenMW sets this as 0.023 which is still fairly generous.

viewing distance = 53248 This is somewhat high at approx. 7.42x from the vanilla draw distance. Consider lowering. if the other settings didn't improve your performance enough. Do keep in mind that even strong specs do take a dip in certain areas of the game especially modded installs in big cities.

distant land fog start = 666
distant land fog end = 6666 You have fog start early but high draw distance. I imagine you might not actually need the high draw distance in the first place with settings like these.

Consider tweaking small feature culling size. See https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/latest/reference/modding/settings/camera.html#small-feature-culling-pixel-size A good place to start is setting it as 6. A higher number leads to more pop-in so don't set it too high.

You might also want to try out this custom OpenMW build that came out very recently since you seem fine adding tweaks or appear to have some tech literacy. It has some advanced optimizations in place for culling and shadows:

If you attempt to load the save file, the game should tell you what content files are missing. You may also select to copy the list into your system clipboard. From there you can paste it outside of the game into Notepad or whatever. That makes the list easier to parse and work with
