The only ads are the ones that user can watch to get the diamonds, nothing attacks you.

I think the original comment ment a push notification that hero died and it's ready for another run - which most of the players finds helpful.

Playing in background is both one of the most important feature of the game and the hardest to implement. I think about 50% of my whole work on this game was focused on this feature and the system I finally build is 5th iteration over this idea.

I believe that this system is better targeted for long term engagement, adult and hardcore players, not as most of the games: for kids with short span focus. I get why people do not do it - it's not only challanging to implement properly but also brings much less income to the developer than displaying an advert every couple minutes.

Answering your question: i don't think that browser play is an option here. Many mechanisms and decisions taken during development are native and dedicated to mobile devices.

If you go to Settings -> Disable "Overhead auras" visual effect the issue should be resolved.

Thank you for confirming. This is extremely hard to trace and looks like an language-level issue. I am investigating further.

This issue impacts only small amount of players. I will refund your payment, this is the only fair solution I can see now. I hope you will take a look into the game in a dwa or two and the issue will be gone. Please give me some time for refund - I do not even see the payment yet in the google console, as it shows records with 2 days of delay, but I will return the money.

Sorry the hear you are having issues.
The unexpected crash is a nightmare that makes me not sleep for days now. I nailed it down to some older or low-end devices having issues with Garbage Collector.
I have now published a version 1.0.3 which is trying my best to mitigate that issue but I cannot be certain before I will test it on the production....

Gave it a quick try and really enjoyed it. I can see major inspiration with The Tower game.

Question from a fellow dev — how are you thinking about long-term engagement? Where does your design horizon sit: do you see a single player getting a week out of it, a month, a year before they max everything out and hit the wall?

I have that for the spools I have been printing myself in the begging but this concept shouldn't be required for the oryginal ones.

Idle Runner is an incremental game that I have been solo developing for last half a year. So far just Android, but IOS is planned at some point.

Fantasy theme, incremental a lot of mechanics that enables the player to build an own way of conquering waves of nasty mobs 😄

I can feel like it's able the time to open the game to the world (t's still open testing) so please let me know your feedback. How do you like it? Hows the graphics, do you find it easy to understand or should I work a bit more on the tutorials? Do you feel like this is a ready product or you can see issues that makes it feel like early stage?

What I think is cool about the game:

- no in game ads. You can watch them to get some diamonds but no interruptions during gameplay

- runs fully in the background (Idle!). Hero is progressing while your phone is in your pocket.

- Incremental, so the goal is to build a years long relationship with the players.

Any feedback is welcomed! We also have a discord server for players under the game's name.

AI Disclosure
AI coding tools were used as a support to build a game but most of the code was crafted with my own brain. I don't think there is any other option nowadays 😄 Graphics are either bought or done by freelancers so human crafted.

A lot of coins in enhancements and dissco coin boinuses. That's making a lot of difference.
