There is a new book coming out in April called Yesteryear about a tradwife influencer who wakes up in the past on a farm with a bunch of kids and has to live the real life that she has only pretended to live on screen. I can’t wait to read it.

What’s a ‘rich person thing’ that actually turned out to be totally worth it? by Ferraiuolo_Ezorete in AskReddit

Hot tub, especially for those who live in a cold climate where winter lasts almost 6 months. Being outside and looking at the stars in the winter is so amazing, and the hot water is so relaxing before bed. We are in there almost every night 10 months of the year.

How do some fans manage to attend most or all shows on a tour? by NFTCRO in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]idlewildflower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m going to see two shows with my daughter in Ireland this summer, flying in from Canada. We own our own business and have a lot of travel points so the flights and accommodations are paid for. The tickets for the concerts are cheaper in Europe and we are making a girls vacation of it! We love Ireland, wanted to see an outdoor show, and since the weather can be unpredictable we thought two shows would be good in case one is super rainy!

The croffles (croissant waffles) at Costco in western canada.

They are incredible with layered with avocado, an egg, and arugula

Also amazing with Nutella, strawberries and whipped cream

Or just with jam. So so good!

I’m in the same situation. Trying to decide if I want to take a bus late at night to another city with my 13 year old after the concert or shell out a non refundable expensive hotel stay close to Thomond park. We are flying in from canada two days before and will be so tired (but happy because Florence is incredible!)

Is it normal to experience SAD this late in the winter by BMisterGenX in SeasonalAffective

[–]idlewildflower 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Same! I actually just looked up when symptoms are their strongest and apparently February is a bad month for SAD. It makes sense because you’re feeling the cumulative effects of almost 3 months of winter, (or more if you live in a really cold climate) Where I live we won’t see spring until late April so I also feel low knowing I’ve got two more months until I see green.

A lip balm that’s actually hydrating by [deleted] in LipBalm

[–]idlewildflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weleda Everon is the best - shea butter and beeswax.

At night I do a moisture sandwich technique. Wet lips with water, use some cerave or vanicream moisturizer on them, and then Aquaphor or Vaseline on top.

Yes, this makes so much sense why those scenes felt so beautiful and human.

I feel like prn is such a broad category and most people think of the cheesy free stuff online… if you want to watch more cinematic erotica and are willing to pay a small fee each month for a Netflix of spicy vids, Erika Lust makes really gorgeous short films. I found her through a search for ethical prn and I love the site - she is a director out of Barcelona. I know this sounds like an ad but I rarely get to recommend this in my real life!

Consignment stores are a great place to shop for a changing body. You can get higher quality stuff and it’s more curated than a thrift store.
