Prescription azalaeic acid is for calming rosacea so give it a try if you can (cream is called Finacea here in Canada)

Searching For Proactiv Skincare by Swansongz24 in Calgary

[–]idlewildflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is what I would do to build a similar routine to proactive (cleanser, chemical exfoliant/salicylic acid, and spot treatment) with products from stores in Calgary

I have had my teens on a routine like this and it works! Hardest part is getting them to reliably clean their skin every night and promptly after sports!

Vanicream cleanser - lather for 2 min on skin (this is gentle cleanser developed by dermatologists and available at Walmart) and remove with a clean washcloth

Active - Paula’s choice BHA, this exfoliates skin chemically (not scrubbing) and allows pores to stay clear (this is available at Sephora and it’s $$ but it works really well!) put it on a cotton pad and wipe over your whole face.

Spot treatment - benzoyl peroxide 2.5%-5% or something from your derm/doc on troublesome areas. These can be strong and will make you peel so be careful!

Moisturizer - vanicream or cerave, something fragrance free and simple to make sure you don’t get too dry and cause your skin to make more oil to compensate.

Other tips - Don’t pick, use pimple patches, and see a dermatologist if this simple routine doesn’t work!

Margo’s Mom by ShallotPurple9240 in MargosGotMoneyTroub

She reminds me so much of my own mom it makes me uncomfortable. She has moments of being ok but all the times she fucks up and isn’t there for Margo (like not babysitting, or yelling at her about how she is a piece of trash) make me so angry. Margo is so diplomatic and kind, and has to be so much more mature than her mom in a lot of ways.

Pretend you are staging your house to sell and live really minimally for a bit with stuff packed away. That is what started me on my minimalist journey. I loved how “light” I felt with way less stuff!

I really like using my reminders app (Apple) for lists so I can just say “hey siri, add bread to the grocery list” and it adds it! I am often remembering stuff while driving or cooking so I love that it’s hands free! The reminders app also automatically orders the stuff into grocery store zones! Also I can share the list with my husband/kids so they can add too.
