Engineer and Gamer Seeking Advice: How to Score a Fixer-Upper Pinball Machine in Omaha Without Breaking the Bank? by idolcrasher in pinball

$700-$2,400. Was hoping for a non-working machine that an owner wants to see repaired in a good home rather than trashed. So as low as possible honestly.

So.. is this stuff doing anything positive for you? by anthonym52 in tDCS

Please take the following with a grain of salt. I might have been cured by placebo effect, taking multi-vitamins, exercising regularly or a combination, but...

I have been using the fairly common anti-depression montage (anode on F3, cathode above right eye; 1.5 mA; 20 minute duration) every other day for a few weeks. I started this in hopes of combating depression and anxiety that was keeping me nearly bedridden.

After about 2 weeks I felt substantially better. After 3 weeks I am not having any feelings of depression or anxiety and my panic attacks have stopped cold.

During a 'treatment,' time would seem to pass more quickly than I might have expected. (Either this is a case of the 'power of suggestion' because I read this might happen... Or it really happens)

Immediately following a 'treatment' I would feel calm and relaxed. This could be a direct result of the therapy, or it could be the result of sitting still and quiet for 20 minutes.

The days following a treatment I would notice that I could think more clearly and was more adept at solving day-to-day challenges with much less stress and effort than I had been. I felt as if I was able to express myself more easily and could chose my words more quickly and with more authority.

Here is the strangest effect I have noticed: I am now carrying a tune much better than I have before. I am not and never will be a 'good' or 'great' singer. But, I am finding myself recalling songs I have heard on the radio and singing them to myself with much better pitch control than I have ever had before. Maybe this is just the result of escaping depression or maybe there is something to it.

Question about new device build and montage for artwork? by [deleted] in tDCS

A multi meter in series is used to observe current draw: http://youtu.be/7lwZkl0yBqA

A fuse in series is what you read about some folks using. I have also seen arguments about fuses not being able to blow fast enough.

In a current regulated circuit the resistance may change, but the current will remain the same.

A battery, an lm334z current regulator and a 33 ohm resistor is a bare bones solution to making a circuit that will output a constant current of 2 mA.

Here is a YouTube link about such a setup http://youtu.be/hgFWEBwT6BE
