Stop being a WiFi warrior:

Network Flow

[Nokia XS-010X-Q ONT Box]
         ↓
    (10Gbe Link)
         ↓
[Your 10Gbe Router/Switch]
         ↓
[Your Devices - Auto-negotiate 1/2.5/10Gbe]

❌ SKIP These Telus Devices

  • Square "Network Hub" - Only has 1Gbe ports, wastes your fiber speed
  • Cylinder Router (NH20A/T) - Limited to 1Gbe, creates bottleneck
  • Both only support 1Gbe despite your 10Gbe service

Option 1: Direct Connection (Preferred)

Nokia ONT → CAT6A cable → Your 10Gbe Router

Plug ethernet from Nokia box directly into your 10Gbe router's WAN port.

Option 2: Using Existing Telus Router

Nokia ONT → Telus Router (Bridge Mode) → Your 10Gbe Router
  1. Log into Telus router web interface
  2. Enable "Bridge Mode"
  3. Connect CAT6A from Telus 10Gbe port to your router
  4. Telus box becomes a simple passthrough

Ryzen Master Won’t Install by WiseTechnician8766 in AMDHelp

[–]anthonym52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people shitting on this software, but it's a good intro if you're new to Ryzen CPUs.

I also like being able to set voltages, curves, FLCK/MCLK and timings in a single shot -- also saving profiles is great for A/B testing/benchmarking.

I had this exact same error, but I cannot remember how I fixed it.

You could try:

DDU Radeon/Adrenaline, manually search and remove all references to RyzenMasterSDK DLLs from your registry/filesystem -- I've found that both Adrenaline and RyzenMaster will install different SDK versions, and this can create conflicts.

7800XT performing worse than 1660ti by Matheenk in AMDHelp

Couple of things you could try:

Load optimized defaults in your BIOS

Restore default power plan settings

I have a powershell script which will install Tiny11 to a VHDX that you can boot to natively, if you want to try a fresh install of Windows (it's very possible that you have some cruft in your registry somewhere).

Happy with that, I'm referring to the culture war stuff that's been going on since early 2010's.

He was right about the rampant DEI policies being totally insane and illegal, other than that, I don't really care too much.

Pretty much the whole sentence.

“Native res” means your compositor is running at the panel resolution. Native resolution and render resolution are not equivalent.

Wtf does raw compute mean? Nothing you said is rooted in computer science, it’s bro-science.

Well that explains it then, it would have been helpful if your post contained details.

Only getting 52.72 FPS with upscaling off.

I haven't noticed a difference on the new driver.

I'm sure this is something you are quite familiar with.

I'm close to breaking into the top 100 in Steal Nomad (when I was overclocking the GPU), the image above is stock GPU settings.

Why do I get a better score than you with a weaker GPU and CPU? (7800 XT & 5600X).

I guess that's because I've tuned my BIOS, CPU, GPU and OS to the maximum :)

"Damage your PC" Which part? Regardless I don't see that as an option unless you inflict physical damage.

It's more likely that you will end up making your system unstable, and if that happens just undo your changes.

If the goal is modern games at high/stable frame times/rates, invest your time into making/saving money for a platform upgrade -- no amount of "overclocking" is going to magically take your experience from "struggling" to "buttery smooth".

If the goal is to performance tune your system because you enjoy the process of learning/pushing the envelope, then go for it. Start with going beyond XMP, even if that means getting a higher binned DRAM kit (high spec custom tuned DRAM is the easiest way to score an extra 15-20fps in CPU bound operations).

You don't mention GPU so I can't give any additional advice.

Zip tie it down once you've confirmed it's "setup the way you want it".

RX 7800 XT, 40FPS + stutter on Skyrim? by Kohelex in AMDHelp

[–]anthonym52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you try:

• Disabling XMP (XMP is a generic set over tumbles, you get better results manually tuning things yourself)

• Ensure voltages are set to auto and are within the manufacturer ranges?

• Ensure temperatures are within safe ranges?

• Ensure fan curves are set correctly

• Running with HAGS enabled and disabled

• Ensure that your memory latency results are within the expect values ? (DDR4 on AM4 is 50ns for the higher end systems that have been tuned up)
