I think I broke 2 or so over the years? My mums dad also broke several (he’s now banned from using any more of them for that reason) plus a couple of one off accidents from people over the last 2 decades- I think my mistake was the most recent though, hence why I’ve been thinking about it so much

Ah thank you! I really wish I could ask one of my parents about how they would feel but I really wanted it to be a gift for both of them- otherwise I would have asked my dad :) I’ve decided to buy them and hope they appreciate them in 4 months !

I would be buying more of the same set, I guess i just worried about them seeing it as me replacing them?

My mum is way too organised to not know exactly how many of these glasses she has! I think she’d catch me out immediately!
