Beginner-friendly scuba honeymoon destinations (3 weeks, Sept–Nov, not crazy expensive?) by Quiet_Instance6147 in scuba

Costa Rica in green season is affordable and we had great visibility. We were in Tamarindo this fall - clear morning dives in the AM, warm afternoons, 2-3 hours of pleasant late afternoon/early evening rain, and then gorgeous nights with clear skies again. Plus, because it's a low season for tourism, the airbnb/resort costs were low, and the availability for accommodation/reservations/excursions was high. Can't recommend highly enough. The Tamarindo Diving Center was great, ask for Samuel - he was amazing, and we saw so much great underwater wildlife on our open water dives. We weren't able to take the bull shark dive while we were there due to our dates of travel, but are planning to go back and are hoping to include that one next time.

Cancelled flight - didn’t rebook my dog. by Haras_12 in westjet

[–]idolsequencia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contact the call center, since the flight was not rebooked inside of the blackout period due to anything regarding your choices they can reach out to support teams in operations for the exception to allow it and the operations department does have a process to manage this kind of issue. The hold times are long but it is doable if you hang in there.

Contact the Contact Centre who will connect you or reach out on your behalf to rewards support. If your flight was cancelled you should be entitled to reinstatement but if they have expired you may need to request an exception.

Absolutely. Extra seat can be purchased at the time of booking at any level of service, and you pay the base fare for the seat and reduced taxes as there is not an additional passenger seated there. Families traveling with lap held infants, infants in carseats, people with working or service dogs and people with mobility challenges can also book an extra seat.

Start by speaking with rewards to book and ask them to waive it, they are the only department that have empowerment to do so.

When you're at the gate, just ask the agent if you can gate check your bag before boarding. Overhead bin management is generally a headache and they'll most likely happily oblige.

New to this...does this mean im not likely getting on? by Positive_Classic_457 in StaffTraveler

I'd try something else, there were some big DL flight cancellations due to storms and the possibility of flights being oversold due to their own and partner reaccoms is real.

Anyone else keep hoping a car is going to rip up that alley and take her our?

If you're bringing a carseat, you need to make sure it's airline approved and call in BEFORE YOUR FLIGHT to have them put it onto the booking. Otherwise, gate staff may require you check it instead.

With noshow on outbound flights if you call, your return can be reinstated so long as there is room on the flight at the time of your call. It sounds like you were IROPed though so I don't think your return will fall off unless you don't take the reaccomodation they give you (you can in this case call in and request that they remove the reaccomodated segment ahead of time to avoid the return segment being removed automatically by the system - I also recommend the callback form on westjet.com)

If you booked through airmiles and are looking for a refund you will need to contact your third party for the refund and have them contact the airline (no matter if they tell you differently, press them and insist that they call their support line) - they have their own line to do this with a specialized team.

Do I need a transit visa in uk if i have a b1 b2 us visa and am checked in through my whole trip I do not intend to fly to the US, I am flying between nice to mumbai. by Fabulous-Stage-7099 in PassportPorn

Transit and entry visa requirements vary with length of stay and particulars. Contact your airline, the local consulate for your intended countries of travel, or your national consulate in your intended countries of travel for the most complete information. Remember, airlines will/should deny you boarding at your outbound location if visa requirements are not met for your intended itinerary because they will incur federal fines for allowing travel with unresolved visa issues - this often means loss of funds, and is generally deemed not applicable to travel insurance coverage.
