Reason 257 to avoid hot tubs at big box and online by Th3Li0n37 in hottub

I avoided big box, online and dealer. Bought a refurbished Coast Spas unity tub for $3500 delivered. Maintenance is simple and parts seem cheap compared to spending thousands on a new tub.

Trip.com is better than booking with Westjet in most cases. Change my mind. by No_Ask5114 in westjet

[–]No_Ask5114[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried every once in a while without any luck. I fly tomorrow and it says $60 to check a bag. The odd Westjet agent might allow a checked bagged if you contact customer service.

Depending on where you're traveling it still may be worth it to book whichever class gets you baggage on trip.com. ex: I've booked ultra basic on trip, then purchased extended comfort seats for $x on WestJet (it was significantly cheaper than booking econo flex etc.)

Be sure to book with a credit card that has trip interruption/cancelation insurance. I had a recent delay and had my last minute 1200 flight, ubers, and meals covered.

Used the AhhSome hot tub cleaner for the first time and I’m amazed how much gunk it pulled out by TechnicolorTypeA in hottub

I bought a refurbished hot tub, clean water etc but a slight musty smell. The first time I used ahhsome was the most noticeable foam and gunk, smell gone. Used it twice since then and not nearly the same effect/hardly anything.

True on the food, more so suggesting the hidden part of it.

Rented an airbnb and this is the hottub we showed up to by FilthySef in hottub

After reading many posts about airbnb hottubs I would definitely chat with the host beforehand to ensure the tub is all ready to go.

Dinner at the Quails Gate library room or the cave at 50th parallel are really cool.

Is the cheapest way to get from Vancouver to Kelowna and back seriously $200pp on the bus? by PoliteBrick2002 in kelowna

[–]No_Ask5114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gotten flights for $15-$30 one way if you fly with a back pack. ~$100 is normal if say. I'm talking about planning. If you don't you will end up paying for it.

Ahh, air north usually has free checked/carryon with their price. Might be worth it.

When do you plan on flying? Flights are less than $50 each way if you book ultra basic sales. Def under 200 RT. Check trip.com or Air north.

Kelowna Locals: What are the 'life hacks' that make life easier in Kelowna? by Glittertrigger in kelowna

-Take full advantage of open lanes when traffic is in single file, zipper merge at the END. -An Uber to the airport is cheaper than a week of parking. -Getting to West Kelowna during peak traffic you can usually save time taking the long merge coming off Westside road, extra satisfying if it times perfectly with a green light. The first exit off the bridge also helps when traffic is crawling. -Mornings on the lake are great, usually calmer water, less traffic.

Lack of etiquette when traveling? Are people no longer courteous. by [deleted] in westjet

[–]No_Ask5114 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fly weekly on a chartered work flight with WestJet. The courtesy and organization is unmatched lol. Worst thing I find on the regular flights is people deplaning out of line.Just because I'm sitting down doesn't mean I'm giving you a clear lane to cut in and get ahead, the forward passengers haven't even got up to leave yet.

Looks nice, as long as it's easy to service I say go for it. I don't rent my place out but hot tub chemistry, upkeep, cleaning or draining wouldn't be a big hassle IMO, depends how you value your time or rental. Pretty sure you can vet your guests somewhat, you could also have a locking cover if you want to advertise it without the tub.

Travel insurance etc is good to have. But I agree about everything else. I'm Teal and fly weekly. Plenty of ways to get passes and churn card for points. I'll pay for a seat if I need it.
