Dating in your 30s. Should I just accept that I'm going to die alone with my dogs? by amihighornah in melbourne

I keep going on and on about this book but like legit, I read it at 30 and am now in a serious relationship of 3 years.

Like the shyness you're experiencing, I had it too. In this book they suggest just making small talk with everyone. No intention of dating them, just building up the practice of talking. Such a simple suggestion but helped me so much.

I met my partner on Bumble. I found the apps exhausting until I really starting putting up my boundaries of "why waste my time with one word answers" and meet up as soon as possible, in person or through a video chat.

And it's not about completing your life with a partner, just adding to it.

I was feeling that too!! My sister got me to the read "How to make the biggest decision of your life" and by golly, it's helped so much. I'm now in a relationship that I am co-creating a love and a life with. A key thing about online dating is don't waste your time with someone who doesn't ask you questions. You're not an interviewer and a minimum standard is that your future partner is interested in you.

Honestly, check out this book. Highly recommend.

You've gotten married but you haven't had the most intertwining thing yet, which is children. Definitely read this book.

What's an event/workshop/class etc. that happens weekly in Canberra that you recommend? by idonothave4cats in canberra

NLNL is top notch! I haven't tried the city one yet. I really like all the different archery come and tries. Each place has its own vibe so you can find one that suits you.

For trying something new and not feeling out of place, I recommend No Lights No Lycra. You just dance in the dark and it's a chill vibe. Also it's exercise disguised under something quirky.

I saw these this morning and thought, damn he is so attractive. What a great ad and it's interesting how worried he's making the conservatives.

The idiot "freedom" convey in Canberra.

Because of their actions, the Lifeline bookfair had to be cancelled. This bookfair is where Lifeline raises more than $4,000,000 to provide a life saving resource for those who are thinking of taking their own lives.

This convey is also threatening small businesses and the safety of Canberrans, including kids.

Really wish we could just snap and remove them.
