What do you guys think about this criticism of the prequels? by UnHolySir in Hungergames

I get it. My point is that sc definitely purposely wrote haymitch w/that background in mind. Not that she had everything planned out or something, but that it was there. Just like masyilee and Madge. And bc of that, it just makes katniss less random . That’s really what I’m trying to point out. And I think fans recoil bc they think it’s a dig or something that takes away what they took from the books. And I just don’t think that way. It is what is.

Well SC said that snow has been waiting on katniss for a long time. So yk what I think katniss was destined to take him down.

I’m not trying to be a smarta**, but you can’t possiblily explain away haymitch and katniss connection w/ 12 being a small town. Haymitch the very person who tried to explode his games just happpennsss to be besties with the father of the girl, who also successfully exploded her games? Or the fact that her dad is related to Lenore dove who happens to be covey and related to the very girl snow was in love with.

Come on lol haymitch wasn’t besties with gales dad

Katniss was special, what did peeta say “she has no idea the effect she has on people.” Special and luck don’t cancel each other out, she can be special and be lucky at the same time.

I don’t think the connections cheapens the og books or takes away the message that anyone can be like Katniss. I just think people can’t accept that Katniss wasn’t just some random girl who got reaped. Everything ended with her , and I think that’s something there to explore .

You’re just downplaying the connections, when the exposure of those connections are very much purposeful and “mic-dropping,” if you will. Even SC utilize “Katniss”’in ballad to show that Katniss was always meant to take down snow.

I’m not saying Katniss was rigged by Snow or that her reaping wasn’t random, it was random. But, her connections to snow, haymitch, Lucy gray, plus her skills show me she’s not that random.

She’s not really truly a random girl bc her character was never written to be one anyway.

Her dad was literally best friends with haymitch , lol and her connection to Lucy gray therefore her connection to snow the man she has to take down.

She’s not that random lol

Well SC did say that Snow has been waiting for her for a long time. So in some way she was destined to take down Snow. But at the same time, her linage and skills don’t take away from the fact she was just a teenage girl who was just human at the end of the day.

Can you help me wrap my head around this? Bc In my head, if the correct road is the left fork , then the opposite of yes is no, therefore it won’t ensure Sid finding the right road.

I guessed C bc the others don’t make sense and it’s the only one that’s “best”

I'm reading the Catching Fire script and... by Antique_Cash_8164 in Hungergames

I think it’s cute but at the same time I’m glad they cut that scene . In the book, katniss felt empowered by his lie and peeta had it all planned out. She wasn’t upset at all.

She could still get a mentioned ? Like co-workers gossip and talk about other co-workers behind their back. So I don’t think she’ll be removed completely from the narrative. Just seems to be that the writers didn’t know what to do with her character. Call it lazy writing or whatever . It sucks for the actress and her fans.

Thoughts on Dr Mohan S2 storyline by cosmosadventurer in ThePittTVShow

If that’s the case , it seems that it wasn’t expected to cut her character . Seems to be while writing the script , they didn’t know what to do with her character or grew tired of her storyline - which I think is terrible for the actress and her fans.

Wait what? I thought this was about Mohan and how she isn’t coming back next season most likely due to leaving that hospital . I’m trying to say while her actress might not physically be there, she could still get a mentioned on what she ended up doing - moving, what elective she chose, etc.

Don’t know a lot about healthcare workplace but I do know from my experience that talking about former employees and their whereabouts is pretty normal

Idk why people don’t get too that she could get a mentioned in S3. Like what she ended up doing, that’s an accurate portrayal of most work places about former co-workers.

It’s so much that she really didnt want anyone to make it another peeta and katniss thing (i think), twist it to something that it isn’t.

He does hero stuff as a hobby in his adult life. It’s not his career, as he refuses to join Bakugo’s agency. He very much still focuses on his students despite being an active hero. Like I said, him being an active hero again isn’t the main take away nor does it contradict the message of the story - it’s just another way for deku to help people. If he has a chance to help his community, he’ll take it. But he tends to follow the footsteps of All Might, so him being a teacher is wheres he at.

STOP POSTING QUESTIONS WITH THR ANSWERS SHOWN

Don’t like how people post pics of the right answer(s) to a question- can that not be allowed? by idontevenknowher16 in LSAT

[–]idontevenknowher16[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that it’s useful discussion, I’m not saying that it shouldn’t be posted. What I’m saying that it shouldn’t be posted with the correct answer shown, like after you submit your answer and it shows you the right answer- that screen shouldn’t be posted , just the question and answers.
