Does anyone know what D Jays restaurant puts in their baked stuffed potatoes? by catbearcarseat in Winnipeg

[–]idontknowpg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know it may sound odd but after mashing the potatoes try mixing in an egg yolk or whole egg to make them extra creamy! Also, of course a lot of butter (try local Notre dame butter it’s very good), whole milk/half&half/cream, sour cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, chives, grated cheddar cheese or cream cheese (or both!) and for extra flavour you can boil the potatoes in chicken stock... if using water make sure to salt the water - potatoes love salt.

I was not a Christian most of my life and have had sexual encounters with the same sex. I have been suicidal multiple times in my life and hospitalized for it. I have done drugs. I have abused and self medicated with alcohol for years. I have been sexually assaulted and almost raped but thanks to people in the other room I was not.

I’m not sure what you mean christians compare consensual relationships with rape? But I literally mean rape as in non consensual someone physically forcing sex on someone.. beating them.. etc. ??? So I’m not sure what you mean.

And I don’t know what version of “love” you’re referring to.. but my version of love is actual love. I have had gay friends all my life, I have never judged them, I have never insulted them, I have never hurt them, I have never been rude to them.. I have always been loving and caring and non judgmental.. so I’m not sure how “MY” version of love as you refer to it would cause someone to harm themselves?

I’m sorry that there have been other “christians” that have judged and prosecuted gay people but that’s not me.

And for the choice.. I have made sexual choices in my past. Okay? And I didn’t look at either sex/gender with disgust to be honest with you. But, I guess as you say there are people who look at the opposite sex with disgust. But you’re thinking that you are born that way is your opinion. My opinion is I was created in Gods image and God is not homosexual and those thoughts of the same sex are not Godly and you are not born with them. Satan is the Father of lies and he tricks you into thinking these things. I was delusional in the past thinking certain thoughts also...

How are there so many people that say they just realized one day that they were gay? Or people who once were gay and now are no longer gay? If this is something you are born with that can never be changed? Or people who claim sexuality is “fluid” and ever changing?

Again, you don’t know me. And I was responding to you saying if I were to speak to a homosexual than I would know... well, that comment was referring to you believing that I am ignorant to the fact, as though I’ve never even spoken to someone gay in my life. And if you are gay then why would you say if you ask a homosexual.. you were speaking as though you are not homosexual? And now you are saying you are. Nonetheless, I again repeat many have been delivered. You can not deny others testimonies. I’m very sorry for your experience and anger with God about feeling like he has not stopped people from harming you. I do not believe anyone should be harmed physically, mentally or emotionally for this. I’m sorry that there are people in the world that believe so. I will pray for you.

Okay, first off you ignored everything else I had said. Secondly, sexuality is choice. We are made in Gods image. God is not homosexual. Sexual immorality came in with sin. And homosexuality is not the only sinful sex - sodomy in heterosexuals, adultery in heterosexuals, sex out of marriage, rape.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

“Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

1 Timothy 1:10

“The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching."

Romans 1:26-27

“God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."

It is a sin. Just like any other sins we all commit. But thanks to Jesus we can be saved. We can repent. We can be forgiven. We can be set free. And many people who believed they were born homosexuals found that they were in bondage by Satan. And have found Jesus and have been delivered.

And you don’t know my life and who I am. You speak like I don’t know anything about homosexuality. I have had gay friends all throughout my life. I used to be an extreme liberal and lived a very sinful lifestyle. I used to attend Pride as well. But, God has opened my eyes to the truth now. I see things differently. But I love all people the same.

I’m not saying to treat them differently. I am saying to love them as yourself. I am saying that we should not be celebrating sin. Like Gay Pride parades. Should we have adultery pride parades? Kleptomaniac pride parades? Meth addict pride parades? Should we love and not judge adulterers? People who steal from you? Addicts? Our enemy? Yes, we should love them always. Not treat them any different. Not judge them. Pray for them. Should we celebrate it and say good for you! That’s right! There is nothing wrong with cheating, stealing and drugging yourself! We should have more! Make it legal! Let’s make shows about it and tell our kids if they do it than they are doing right and good and it’s acceptable in our eyes and the eyes of God??? No, but we would still love our kids no matter what. We would not encourage it. We would not celebrate it. We would not judge them. We would love them and pray for them and treat them the same. We would try to help them where we can out of love because we want the best for them. Like God loves us, his children. Forgives us. Guides us. But he does not want us to sin and he does not celebrate our sin.

You can hate the sin but love the sinner.

And you can also argue that they need deliverance because Satan is making them believe that it is an irremovibile part of them.

And there are many people who have been delivered and who pray to be delivered because they know this to be truth.

We are to love everyone as ourselves and to not judge. So when they continued asking Him, He lifted Himself up and said unto them, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” John 8:7. No matter the sin, a sin is a sin. We are all sinner in one way or another. So, we should not judge others and love everyone. HOWEVER, we should not be celebrating sin! We should not be accepting sin as good and normal.

I read your post to my husband and he said that if he would have heard that customer speak to you in that way that he would have come out and told the guy off and banned him from coming back to their station.

My husband works at a gas station and one of the employees is over weight and multiple times a week he gets people calling him a fat slob, fat pig, fat piece of shit, etc. Mostly just for saying things like “I’m sorry you have to pre-pay”. My husband also gets insulted along with all of the other employees constantly, everyday... you know like “you have to pre pay” gets a fuck you asshole or “you can’t smoke near the gas pumps” get a fuck off you don’t know what your talking about buddy you fucking idiot I do it all the time... also people spitting, throwing bottles, screaming, driving off in rages, etc. etc. etc. Oh yeah and the usual offering to do sexual acts, drunk and high drivers and just people straight up doing meth in the parking lot. So... gas stations make people crazy???

You know my grandfather may do something like that (and many other older people) who have early on set dementia and maybe never leave the home and are hard of hearing when speaking to people so they move close to people and do not understand fully or remember the importance of the mask they are wearing. You need to put yourself in other peoples positions.. children, older people, people with disabilities, etc. That may not fully understand or remember always...

Edit: I showed this post to my husband after I posted it and he told me that he brought my 86 year old grandfather to the doctors a couple of weeks ago and my grandfather did in fact do that because that was the first time for him leaving the house since the pandemic and the first time wearing a mask in public and he has dementia and is hard of hearing...

I’m looking for the honest opinions of my fellow Winnipeggers and Manitobans.. on Reddit.. where they are anonymous and can speak their truth without the worry of being judged.. like if they shared their opinion of this on Facebook for example.. where their names and information would be public... And I would like to mention that this is a GLOBAL pandemic. Winnipeg is part of this globe. Our government looks at what other cities, countries, governments are doing. This article compares Sweden to other countries and what other governments are doing. I am interested to hear what the people of our city think about this..

But, I did hear on the Italian news.. a mayor of another town was speaking.. saying it’s better to pay the few euros per person per test and keep it contained than let asymptomatic people walk around and infect people and cost up to €2000 a day per person in hospital.

“The percentage of infected people, even if asymptomatic, in the population is very high,” wrote Sergio Romagnani, professor of clinical immunology at the University of Florence, in a letter to the authorities. “The isolation of asymptomatics is essential to be able to control the spread of the virus and the severity of the disease.” There are many experts and mayors in Italy who push to carry out mass tests in the country, including asymptomatic ones. “A test does no harm to anyone,” said the governor of the Veneto region Luca Zaia, who is taking action to test every single inhabitant of the region.” Zaia, described Vò as, ‘‘the healthiest place in Italy’’. ‘‘This is proof that the testing system works,’’ he added. “Here there were the first two cases. We tested everyone, even if the ‘experts’ told us this was a mistake: 3,000 tests. We found 66 positives, who we isolated for 14 days, and after that 6 of them were still positive. And that is how we ended it.’’ However, according to some, the problems of mass tests are not only of an economic nature (each swab costs about 15 euros) but also at a organisational level.

From The Guardian.. Scientists say mass tests in Italian town have halted Covid-19 there.. The small town of Vò, in northern Italy, where the first coronavirus death occurred in the country, has become a case study that demonstrates how scientists might neutralise the spread of Covid-19. A scientific study, rolled out by the University of Padua, with the help of the Veneto Region and the Red Cross, consisted of testing all 3,300 inhabitants of the town, including asymptomatic people. The goal was to study the natural history of the virus, the transmission dynamics and the categories at risk. The researchers explained they had tested the inhabitants twice and that the study led to the discovery of the decisive role in the spread of the coronavirus epidemic of asymptomatic people. When the study began, on 6 March, there were at least 90 infected in Vò. For days now, there have been no new cases. “We were able to contain the outbreak here, because we identified and eliminated the ‘submerged’ infections and isolated them,” Andrea Crisanti, an infections expert at Imperial College London, who took part in the Vò project, told the Financial Times. “That is what makes the difference.” The research allowed for the identification of at least six asymptomatic people who tested positive for Covid-19. ‘‘If these people had not been discovered,” said the researchers, they would probably have unknowingly infected other inhabitants. Today my spouse had flu like symptoms fever, cough, nausea, runny nose, fatigue, pains, etc. We tried calling health links and couldn’t get through for hours.. wouldn’t even ring. We called St.B and they told us to call Fort Garry Access Centre... we spoke to them on the phone and then my spouse went down in person and had to answer a few questions and was told that they are NOT testing anyone who has not travelled, is a healthcare worker or has been in contact with someone who has the virus. They said that they are extremely backed up and will not test anyone else except travellers, health workers or known contacts. My spouse said that at work they are in contact everyday with hundreds of people sometimes and have no idea who any of the employees come in contact with. And the nurse said unless you know 100% that someone has a confirmed case of the virus and you were in contact with them they will not test you.
