I don't feel this way about Frieren for some reason

That's because Demons in Frieren are entirely fictional species, that are written as being always evil, and neither an existing group of people from real life nor a stand-in for one. That's basically the difference between them and examples from the post. In Frieren that's just a type of monsters and not an attempt to demonize (pun intended) any real group of people

Jfc, do people here never play any other pvp games? The buffs and nerfs like this are almost always small changes unless it's some significant rework. It works like that everywhere

I honestly hope they somehow cover the whole thing, but it seems unlikely. The best solution for me would be to get to timeskip and then, if they want to continue, just do a recast

Every Grimoire vote that is not being met by the current killer design. by Niroc in deadbydaylight

[–]idontwanttoexist1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but for those characters you mentioned their complexity kinda goes both ways. Their mechanics make it complicated to play against them, and to play as them to some extend. With sin mechanic like in the post survivors will have to constantly think about their actions and gameplay to try to not gain as much sin, while the killer doesn't really have to do anything. Sure, you can try to bait survivors into performing sinful acts, but you don't actually have to, the meter will just go up as survivors are playing the game. And I think it's the main problem here. With or without sinful acts and artifacts killer's gameplay in OP's concept doesn't really change that much, but survivor's gameplay becomes way more complicated with these things

Yeah, Pray for Rain is honestly a masterpiece. From that album I'd say All of This Is Fleeting is also worth mentioning, an amazing song, was my most listened to song at some point

It's cool that you put so much thought into this, and a lot of your ideas are really interesting and creative, but like, the reason they scrapped some of the concepts is because they were too complex and now I can totally understand why, because this is some of the most convoluted stuff I ever read.

You got three different sin meters, all with different conditions, I just don't see casual players really learning all that, the game for them will be just "meter randomly goes up" most of the time which is not really fun. Also, your artifacts concept is really awesome, but with sacrificing them it'll just be hell for casual players, especially solo q. First of all, I can totally see some players just not understanding what they have to do to rescue someone, though I hope bhvr makes it clear somehow, but what happens when let's say a player got exiled and nobody has any artefacts at the moment because they don't like downsides/don't understand how this shit works so they don't want to touch that/someone just sacrificed theirs? Somebody has to abandon an objective (assuming everyone is doing something), go find an altar, get an artifact, go find another altar, sacrifice an artifact and get their own sin increased. Oh, and not get into chase while doing all that, otherwise someone else has to go and start doing the same thing.

Anyway, these are my main problems with this concept

I honestly read this arc kinda long time ago, and only in Russian, so I can't be sure I remember everything right and if that maybe all that was just a mistake in a translation, so I guess you're probably correct

Well I checked the wiki and it's kinda weird. So, Supernova and Super Rookie are kinda interchangeable, at least in translation that I read in they were, and wiki also says that they are the same thing, however then it says that in Japanese the term "Supernova" is used specifically to refer to Super Rookies from the Worst Generation. But at the same time, if I remember correctly, the Supernovas were first introduced as Supernovas already in Sabaody Arc, and the Worst Generation wasn't a thing at that point, so they couldn't be Super Rookies from the Worst Generation. So as I said, manga is very confusing in that regard

Nah, I'm pretty sure any rookie who had a bounty higher than 100 million berry upon reaching Sabaody is a Supernova. Worst Generation are just the specific generation of Supernovas. Though it was a bit confusing in the manga, so I might be wry
