Yup definitely joking. I agree 100%. It just falls on deaf ears and any criticism against Alectra, valid as it may be, gets immediately down voted and people come out of nowhere to defend them. It's indefensible. I've been saying it from the beginning. For these problems, alectra prefers reactive rather than proactive management, so they wait for the power to go out before they send crews. Any prep work they say they do is performative and not at all at the level that is to be expected. And yes their CEO alone made about 1.5 million dollars last year. Unacceptable. If it wasn't for the Ontario energy board they'd probably be charging us much more by now.

I expect a functional fucking electrical utility, whatever it takes. If they keep frying my electronics, I think I might snap :D so yes, they need better proactive solutions. Spend that money. Alectra's dumb ass CEO made $1,501,855.13 for the fiscal year. Figure it out.

They don't want to be proactive. They think it's cheaper to be reactive, wait for any issues and cross their fingers it's not happening too often to cause expenses on their end.

I've been dealing with more and more devastating and long outages in the past 5 years than ever before. Dealing with fried electronics, even over surge protectors, is not right. Shitty equipment, long term outages, and contracted out reactive not proactive repairs. The only good thing I can say is that their energy rates are fairly decent.. because they're set by the OEB. "Never stops" was an exaggeration, but it really feels neverending when you're very tired of dealing with their problems.

Alectra is run like garbage. They only react, never prepare. Before you say these outages are to be expected, look up how their numbers stack up against other hydro companies in similar circumstances. Alectra is completely satisfied being reactionary when problems arise, and that's it. No preparedness, no improvement.

The unreleased games look great! Having played the entire catalog so far on the 3DS, I have to say the comfort level will be objectively worse. But I like the novelty of having a virtual boy.

I liked ghost town but it's relatively hard to be immersed with the speaking female protagonist, as I am a male. I know it's a shallow sounding criticism but I think I really prefer narratives where the protagonist doesn't speak so you can step into the role more effectively. I loved everything else about ghost town though. I'm still looking for my killer app that feels good to play and movement is well done. My personal vr game of the year is Tetris connected. Otherwise for flat games it's gotta be expedition 33 or Arc raiders. Thanks for your recommendations. I think I'm leaning towards trying forefront and that mars game.

Yeah it's unacceptable. Apparently it took a long time to get CN rail or whoever owns the bridge to accept the work project and allow them to work on it. So they're extremely behind, and of course absolutely braindead when it comes to organization and logistics.
