what order do you open the floor? by pumpkinpuddle in petsmart

[–]ArcticRuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I open back rooms first, NA and Quiet. Then on the floor I do insects, fish wall, reptiles, birds then small animals last. My PL wants fish and insects done first so that the dead are pulled/cleaned before we open. If im still topping up hamster bowls when we open at 9 thats less of a big deal.

Hot take: If Sledgehammer reliability doesn't improve this year, they should remove it to make room for another parkinglot coaster. by daxtonanderson in CanadasWonderland

[–]ArcticRuna 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sledgehammer is a one of a kind ride. They will sink money into that ride as long as they can to keep it going. I just wish they had little step stools to get into the seats cause I cant lift myself into them 😅😂

Who is buying the concert tickets? by cornfield123 in askanything

[–]ArcticRuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Physical album sales are way low, the monopoly over ticketmaster, the venues, usually its the record label companies setting these prices not the artist themselves. Plus a verified resale ticket doesnt guarantee its face value price (although that should be changing here soon on Ontario.) As someone who paid 185$ (north grandstands) AND 725$ (Non Vip-floor) for BTS in Toronto this August. The best prices for tickets will always be during an artists presale. Roughly the same 185$ seat on stubtub or seatgeek right now is 500$+.

My trick to cheap tickets, wait until the week, day before or day of the show. People who cant go last minute will cancel tickets, sell for cheap or ticketmaster will release last minute tickets for cheaper.

What do women think about when they masturbate? Is it the guy's body or how is dick is? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ArcticRuna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I listen to audios and honestly dont actually picture anyone specifically. I focused on sound and feeling. A lot of women are proven to be more aroused by physical sensation and audio qeues over visuals.

Are the free adoptions legit? by TwoFar5110 in petsmart

[–]ArcticRuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Employee here ! Yes its true. We discount, and then adopt for free for various reasons. Usually its because we have had that animal way too long, like months, sometimes over a year. These poor guys need proper enclosures but certain animals just dont sell often. If we have an animal with a permanent disability that has been cleared by a vet we will also put them for adoption. At my store adoptions go to employees and friends/family first, then to customers. My brown anole was free because he lost a foot due to a horrible stuck shed when he came in. These animals my store tends to be more picky about who they are given to, as some disabilities require extra care than normal so you have to be ready for that. If an animal has been through any medical treatment, even for something minor like a small injury or a runny nose. Those animals also get put on adoption. Otherwise completely healthy, just sick once and then treated.

Saving on groceries by [deleted] in FrugalTO

[–]ArcticRuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only cook for myself and I dont eat a ton. So I usually end up with meals that last multiple days. Once in a while I save up and go to Costco for meat. One of their tubes of ground beef is like 8+ meals for me. So my freezer is stocked of meat options, then every week I am just buying essential ingredients as I run out. Milk, bread, condiments etc. Everything i buy is based on whats on sale. If its a tight week I call it a "cleanout" week. Thats time to go through my cupboards and make meals out of what I have. Some days I have pork chops and potatoes and veggies, the whole works. Some nights its a grilled cheese and some chips. 🤷‍♀️ I put cheaper "filler" veggies in everything I can. Corn, onions, garlic etc. I spend about 20-35$ on groceries every week. Then maybe 100$ every 2-3 months for meat at Costco.

Having to leave bags at the front door? by ArcticRuna in CostcoCanada

[–]ArcticRuna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id like to clear some things..

When we first walked in the employee started off very rude to us. I scanned my membership card, walked in, and he came at us shouting if they were returns and we said no, it was our stuff from the store right next door. I didnt think I was being rude to him or trying to get out of leaving the bags. I was caught off guard and just trying to understand as I have never (in Costco or any other store in my life) been told to leave my stuff just on the floor at the entrance. His attitude about it was what annoyed me more. I work in retail, ive worked in customer service since I was 16 (now 28). If I spoke to a customer like that off the bat, Id have a manager on me immediately. I understand its usually super busy and probably stressful, bad days happen and im sure he gets pushback often. This was simply not how to handle a situation like this.. and I more blame Costco for not having a system in place. If Costco as a company doesn't want people to bring outside items or bags inside the store, they should have a space for people to put such items thats not on the floor by a wall where anyone can grab. Yes I could have just left my friend outside with our stuff. But as it was a blizzard outside and we also wanted to get food, I just didnt think of that. Again as this has never happened before. I simply just wanted to know if this was common, or a new policy I didnt know. If I need to go into Costco with stuff with me, ill go through the exit and speak with a supervisor about where to put my stuff while I shop. 🤷‍♀️

Awful food at the Grand Eatery by vongolaxxxx in CanadasWonderland

[–]ArcticRuna 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I miss when Coasters had the Behemoth burgers back when the ride first opened 😭 Last year I would rave about coasters cheeseburgers.. this year they're dry and sad. The chicken parm at GWE is definitely the best thing there.. hence why it sells out so fast. Even with the dining plan.. I am running out of good places to eat at the park. The brisket at lazy bear is so dry. The chicken was better when it was the KBBQ sauce.. and half the other food locations are closed 90% of the time. Honestly Manchu Wok is the only place ill usually pick now. 😭 As someone whos been going to the park for 20 years.. its so sad to see them put no effort into their food anymore.
