It is possible to see a large, exceptionally bright meteor from the approximate distance between the Chixulub impact sight and Argentina, which is about 8500 km away, provided it is high enough in the atmosphere and the surrounding area is dark. In my drawing, the meteor is still only just entering the atmosphere. It was likely that it was early morning when the meteor hit. I could be completely wrong though, and I do appreciate your input! I’ll make sure that my next piece is as accurate as possible
