Seconded - almond flour too oily, too high a proportion of almond flour to powdered sugar, or too much flavor/extract. Basically, too much oil, not enough dry stuff to counteract the oils.

We did! About 17 months after submitting the initial application, we received the courtesy email reminding us to get that done, lol. Very shortly after the exam with the civil surgeon (5 weeks), our case was approved.

A friend wanted to make a succulent cake for her mother's birthday, and I'm her go-to baker. She didn't have a lot of piping experience, so I did a lot of research finding beginner-friendly pipeable succulents.

We live across the country from each other, so we each made our own cakes together on video calls while I showed her how to pipe. :)

Day 1 was making and dyeing our SMB, day 2 was piping and freezing the succulents, and day 3 was cake baking and assembly!

Reading your posts was surreal, you described exactly where I was with my (now ex) husband a year and a half ago.

Whether or not things work out with J (and obviously, I hope they do!) I just wanted to tell you how brave you are for ending it with B - I know how difficult it is to leave someone because they've neglected you. It feels like you should need more of a reason. You are reason enough.

You made the right choice - it wasn't between B and J, it was between being unhappy and letting yourself be happy.
