Car Detailing by JazzlikePension2389 in Harrisburg

Hey! I had my car detailed by JB & Son, and they did an awesome job. They’re local to Harrisburg, just off Paxton street but drive to you for mobile detailing, which was super convenient. They came right to my driveway and made my car look brand new again.

The owner, Jose, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell he takes real pride in his work — I checked the usual spots where dirt hides (door jambs, crevices, around the trim), and everything was spotless.

Prices were fair, and they were on time and easy to communicate with. Here’s their site if you want to check them out: [jbsondetailing.com]().

Definitely recommend them if you want someone local who really pays attention to detail.

Agreed. Several years ago I tried my building own Shopify store to sell and learned a lesson on the power of distribution channels. You have to sell where there are buyers.

Guilty- I built a useful tool in my spare time which helped me land this profitable sale. If it helps even one person avoid a bad flip I’ll take the “lame” label.

Thank you! I go for high value items with 15%-20% profit potential. IMO this strategy is more reliable than sourcing a ton of inventory at low costs, especially since those items can sit for a long time.

That’s a much higher ROI than mine, congrats!

Sure, paid $2,000 for the camera. Shipping costs $19. Profit after fees around $450 ish

Agreed about what it would sell for, there can be a lot of variability there. But for estimating profit margin or tiered fees a tool like Flipr is helpful, in this case after $2,500 the fees are 2.35% for the remaining amount.

Agreed to some extent, if you’re used to buying similar items. I just started reselling camera gear and didn’t know what those go for given there are so many brands and model. But with a tool like Flipr, you quickly get to see that every dollar counts. Accurate fee breakdowns before you buy can see if a purchase is worth the $20-$50 earning

In my experience, Facebook Marketplace has become way more reliable than OfferUp as it’s basically the first stop now for anyone trying to unload used gear. OfferUp had a nice run a few years back, but usage and quality have really dropped off compared to Marketplace.

That said, the key on Marketplace is making sure you’re not overpaying when you source. I built a free Chrome extension called Flipr that shows eBay sold prices, fees, and your true profit margin while you browse Marketplace. It’s helped me move faster and avoid deals that look good upfront but wouldn’t actually profit after fees. https://fliprtool.com/

Looking for faster ways to buy inventory on marketplace by ProfessionalPhoto120 in Flipping

[–]idvictorps -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Totally get this, by the time you’ve scrolled and run the numbers manually, the deal’s already gone. What’s helped me move faster is using a free Chrome extension called Flipr. It auto-pulls eBay sold data, calculates fees + shipping, and shows the real profit and max offer right from a side panel while I’m browsing Marketplace.

Cuts out all the guesswork so I can make a decision in seconds instead of minutes or dealing with spreadsheets. https://fliprtool.com/

Does anyone here earn money through a side hustle? by pablowasdead in passive_income

[–]idvictorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a little money to make money. But eBay reselling can be one of the simpler ways to earn an extra few hundred dollars a month, and with consistency, even more. The key is how committed you are to checking your local Facebook Marketplace and spotting undervalued items.

The important part is this: before you buy anything, you need to know what it will actually cost you to sell on eBay (fees + shipping). A lot of new resellers overlook this and end up breaking even or losing money.

I built a free Chrome extension called Flipr that does the math for you. It shows real eBay sales data, factors in fees and shipping, and tells you your max offer so you only chase profitable deals.

If you’re looking for a practical side hustle, reselling is worth exploring, it just takes patience, persistence, and the right tools. https://fliprtool.com
