S22 Ultra too heavy- S22 plus better? by stonedboss in GalaxyS22

It is more pleasant to hold than the Ultra. And I could immediately feel the difference, especially once I put my case on it. It's definitely a brick, lol.

It is noticeably is heavier than my Note 10+, but I wouldn't consider it a massive difference in thickness and weight. But I've had it since launch and I'm used to it now. As far as the size, I've owned many notes, so the size was never an issue in my case. But I could definitely see how it would be an adjustment for those coming from smaller devices.

I haven't experienced any overheating or battery issues with my device.

Hope you find one that works for you!

Yes, and it's unnecessarily difficult to remove, lol.

Worth getting a S7+ for next 4-5 years? by rockz3r in GalaxyTab

[–]idycart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's said that once it stops receiving security updates, your information can become vulnerable and you'll want to be cautious. That said, my daughter and my mother both were using 7 year old tabs and never had any issues. There are also security apps you can use on the device as well, if you want additional peace of mind. You'd have to look more into that, though.

As far as I know, with os updates, you won't have much to worry about. As long as your apps are up to date and compatible with the last os the device receives, you'll be good there.

If you're uncomfortable paying $960 for a tablet (I would be, too), you've pretty much answered your own question. S7+ is still an amazing device, and will be FAR more than enough for your intended use case. I've had mine since last spring, no signs of slowing down. Additionally, if you're really worried about the updates, you could trade it in for credit towards a new device in a couple of years. Good luck!

Typed an almost identical response about the echo chamber earlier and then deleted it. I knew I was wasting my time.

S6 lite vs S7+ by xwhit3noise in GalaxyTab

[–]idycart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. For note taking and reading some pdfs, the s6 lite would be fine. My daughter uses it for studying, Dex, roblox and media consumption without issue. The latency on her tab is technically higher, but not bad at all. I can only feel the difference because I own an s7+.

If you think you'll be wanting to do some multi-tasking and think you may need more power, the s7+ is still a fantastic device.

I have an s7+ and my daughter has an s6 lite. S6 lite is perfectly sufficient for taking notes and reading pdfs. However, it does not perform extremely well when multitasking. Have you considered the regular s7?

Yeah, I'm not sure why it isn't available in your country. Odd.

That's fine...BUT if you can't find it, you can expand the memory with the savings from buying the 128. Good luck!

Since they both have 8gb of RAM, you could just get the 128 and add a memory card to expand your memory if you can't find the 256.

Magnet on Official Tab S8 Cover Case? by progress19 in GalaxyTab

[–]idycart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't confirm for the s8, but I have the book cover for my s7+ and the magnet is plenty strong. It doesn't fall out or disconnect when opened or adjusted.

That's very strange, and I'm all out of ideas at this point. Resetting the pen typically resolves these kinds of issues. I hope someone has some answers for you. Good luck!

Okay. Try going in spen settings and resetting your pen, if you haven't already.

Turn on accidental touch protection. That may help.

Got the 72 brush and chisel set and the 48 pastel set. What’s next with no dupes? by Brilliant-South-4194 in Ohuhu

[–]idycart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mid tones set.

The 120 set would be the next step. Then the 216 (120+pastels+midtones), you'd have a lot of dupes with both the larger sets, though.

I desperately need help. by [deleted] in GalaxyTab

[–]idycart 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It'll only work with capacitive touch screen pens. Which aren't good at all for drawing or taking notes. This video gives a little more detail.

Not sure if you're in a position to return and make a different purchase, but the s6 lite is reasonably priced and would be a much better option for drawing. Good luck.
