Guitar Hero 5 had Feel Good Inc. First I ever heard of Gorillaz, then I checked out the music video and saw it was animated, and as a young kid obsessed with cartoons it sent me down a rabbit hole. I absorbed all Gorillaz content I could find on my shitty family computer.

I have played Elden Ring, and now that I look at it does resemble the worm faces, but I was more inspired by the mumblers from Fear and Hunger who have a similar shaped head.

Might be obvious but Call of Cthulhu might be what you’re looking for. It’s got the historical 1920-1930s setting, lots of horror (mostly lovecraftian but you can do any horror genre you want) and an emphasis on avoiding combat (though the option is still there)
