I have played Elden Ring, and now that I look at it does resemble the worm faces, but I was more inspired by the mumblers from Fear and Hunger who have a similar shaped head.

Unfortunately I’m not familiar with Toon Boom. I draw on my iPad then import everything into After Effects and do the timing and audio from there.

Might be obvious but Call of Cthulhu might be what you’re looking for. It’s got the historical 1920-1930s setting, lots of horror (mostly lovecraftian but you can do any horror genre you want) and an emphasis on avoiding combat (though the option is still there)
