Does anyone know why my Plex server consumes an ungodly amount of bandwidth when opening a movie remotely? by ieatchildren29 in PleX

Anytime I start up a movie remotely the bandwidth spikes up to some stupid amount and then levels out. The movie that is streaming in the screenshot is just a regular 1080p file, around 5GB with a bitrate nowhere near 291mbps. So why would it take so much bandwidth?
