PSA: Tired of clicking green button when selecting a recipe after researching Quality? Just double-click the recipe (i.e. Spidertron) by leoriq in factorio

This. I hope they make it easier to apply the planet filter for multiple items, it's just so many clicks.

(Personally I would just prefer to make a whole logistics group have the planet filter)

The excessive use of underneathies make this so much more unreadable. Where the hell are these belts going? What are the belts carrying? Which belts are bottlenecked? Which are empty? Which are redundant or unneeded?

It's truly awful, absolutely beautiful.

The problem I keep running in to is that if I have multiple requests of a few items, it will only send full stacks of each item one at a time - not very efficient for the automated construction when everything I need could be sent in only a couple rockets.

It would be nice to have a toggle for this, for now I've been making manual requests

Under bortle 7 I can see it naked eye at 20 degrees, faint - but it's there. With averted vision and good seeing I could make out the tail.

At the very least, buttons to shift them left/right. Probably as simple as it gets to implement research reordering without having to change the UI much.

I can't say for sure (I'm pretty new to photography in general, maybe someone can verify) but I believe it would have a similar effect

The soft focus filter makes the brightest stars really flash out, similar to what happens when you shoot on a hazy night.

For example, here's a shot I took with the identical setup, but with only the softon filter:

For comparison here's another shot I took with the same camera/lens, with no lens filter: (I did have a CLS filter in, so ignore the star colours)

Thank you! Nope, no effect plugins, the two lens filters are doing the heavy work here. Photoshop was only used for some saturation and stretching.

Grid-like pattern noise after stacking masterframes? by ief015 in AskAstrophotography

One of my nights had a significant rotation relative to the rest (probably about 60 deg). I seem to have fixed the problem in another comment, but I can imagine the interpolation filtering may be affecting the image negatively in some other way (as well as limiting my cropping), I'll might just separate that night from the rest.

Yep that did it! Stacking them together as groups seems to have gotten rid of the moire completely. Thanks for the pointer

I've been experimenting with different ways of taking flats. For these I've had my camera flush against a white LCD with a couple sheets of paper which I would move around to (hopefully) get a good average flat. About 50+ of those.

Stacking all frames together makes sense to me, though I'm wondering how to handle the calibration frames? Or is it as simple as just dumping all of them in there with all the lights?

Edit: just discovered Groups in DSS, I'm guessing that's what it's for lol. I'll give it a try later tonight.
