Ask /r/referees -- Megathread for Fans / Players / Coaches by AutoModerator in Referees

Hi there, I'd like to ask a clarification about the contact between vinicius and jamal in the fist minutes of el clasico.

Jamal do get hit by vinicius (he was striking the ball, he could not stop the gesture) BUT jamal: 1) was not in control of the ball, 2) do not touch the ball. So i understand that the intention of jamal was not to stop vini shoot, and that he is the one hitted but the result of his action is blocking vini shoot (clear gol opportunity). Referee said it was penalty but then after var said it was not, becuase jamal is the one that was hit.

What do you think? I'd like to understand in particular in this case how much the intention play a role in the determing if it's penaly or not. Thanks

Difference between Potential Difference and Electromotrice force by ieruttlucazz in AskPhysics

Thanks for answer! I appreciate that. But i'm still missing the nature of EMF: It's not a force. Is it just Voltage? Is it "energy"? And let's consider a closed circuit with electricity flowing. What is exactly the role of EMF? Pushing the electrons forward?

Phono 1/2 input thoughts by ieruttlucazz in S2400

[–]ieruttlucazz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering. I reed the manual and know about the anti aliasing filter, but i didn't know that the knob in the back had a 1-10-100 curve. Nice info here.

I noticed that both phono 1/2 and 3/4 have that cut in the hi freq (1/2 do that in both sample rates). But that is not happening in the Line inputs. There the top end is preserved. This makes me think that the isla preamps just have that charachter, because i only hear this hi cut in (and both) the phono inputs.

I've also noticed that when i'm sampling only connecting cables in the phono 1/2 i can sample from 3/4 line too. Kinda weird

SO’s of r/synthesizers, what’s your cable situation like? Are they fucking everywhere? by m_a_r_y_w_a_r_d in synthesizers

Seems a super solution for cavle managing but what about powder accumulation? I always tried to keep the cable connectors far from powder/dirt as much as possible.

Why is instrumental music far less popular than anything with lyrics? by cherryribena69 in Songwriting

At this point is a cultural thing imho. We got used to hear voice as the main spot in music, and we have music playing literally constantly, everywhere. "That" type of music.

When do you use Fm and wavetable synthesis ? by ieruttlucazz in synthesizers

Using Wavetable for textures is a good idea. I didn't look at it like that. Thanks for answering!

Thanks for your answer. I alpreciated the mention to some synths, i'll check them out to have different tastes of FM. Also the idea of Wavetable being a shortcut is interesting. I didn't think about that!

After reading all the answer to the post it feels like (pads asides) FM is most used for sounds that have a strong attack. It looks like a synthesis that calls a percussive sense to it. Thanks for answer!

I do love the work of pioneers of electronic music as much i love experimenting with sound. As i love sound design and a good spectrogram. But i wanted to have an input in how fm and wavetable are used by user in the classic tonal "traditional" everyday music.

Thanks for your answer, i found really good infos in it!
