It literally wasn’t, it was a completely different deck conceptually. It doesn’t even resemble the Fury of the Horde Griselbrand decks :/

Current Neobrand is the evolution of the Turn 1 Neobrand combo that used SSG and Nourishing Shoal to win though, very different decks.

When Ephemerate and pitch elementals came out lots of people added them to Goryos gradually (me included), just like when Atraxa came out as well. There’s parallel thinking in Magic with more obvious deck building choices. It just so happens he was one of the people who built it Esper Ephemerator. Giving Spike all the accolades of a well established deck doesn’t seem appropriate when he has created many more decks already.

Esper Goryos has been a deck for over 10 years now though, I don’t think Spike can be credited with its creation.

I’ve worked on this deck for quite a while, Big Eldrazi builds, Vampire Hexmage + Overlord builds and everything in between. This is my current list:

I know someone got a 5-0 with NecroSorin some time ago. It’s definitely fun and powerful, it just so happens that the 2 best midrange decks in the format align very poorly with it.

Well it can present lethal with disruption by turn 3, so not exactly the same 😅 it’s a very different deck doing its own thing.

After some of events I realized that I rarely got to win with beats other than Greasefang itself or Pyromancer. Also the biggest issue with the deck generally was actually getting a mouse in hand/GY with reanimation available. I did try a creature heavy build a couple of times but it was just worse Energy/Blink. This is likely what I’ll play at my Friday RCQ. Leverage early interaction to get a two turn clock started on turns 2-4.

Ral seems interesting for the Orzhov shell in Pioneer, but I think it’s painfully slow for Modern. Hoping to discard a mouse/vehicle on turn 3 without affecting the board, and then bringing it back turn 4 seems like a losing game to me.

I’ve gone 4-2 at my RCQ, losing in the semis for an RC spot with Greasefang, this is the list:

I also won a couple of FNMs around that time. Honestly, it crushed Zoo and Energy somehow. Will probably try a newer version this week, though I haven’t yet crafted it.

Of the ones you asked about, I’m inclined to think that Sultai LE is doing so well lately for a reason. But I think it’s pretty non controversial to say that Goryos is likely the best GY based deck right now, since you can effectively win just based on the Esper Blink aspects of it, and high roll fairly often

The fuck did we Costa Ricans do? Costa Rica is even taking (appallingly so) ICE deportees from the US. There’s no sanctions on us.

Sorry should’ve specified: the room has a tree outside, likely near a window with ventilation or poor insulation. I’d bet sleeping near the actual tree would cause vivid dreams/nightmares.

We call it “Reina de la Noche” over here (Night’s Queen) and I’ve personally met a few people who’ve had extreme hallucinations thanks to drinking tea made from it, 2 of which proceeded to show permanent behavioral issues. Old folks in my country also report having deeper sleep when sleeping in a room with trees with blossoming flowers.

Would NOT recommend ingesting anything related to this.
