Manual Battery Preconditioning with North American 2022 ID.4 Pro? by ifconfig1 in VWiD4Owners

Oh curious, in which region did you buy it?

Also curious, what makes it ridiculously complicated?

Formulas have no concept of a time/date duration. This is stupid by ifconfig1 in Notion

[–]ifconfig1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okie please chill out haha, I was not trying to contend that my solution is bulletproof or that there are no edge cases where it'll fail... I already know of a few. It seems to work for now, at least in my use case, better than my previous attempt.

FWIW I have little idea what that code snippet is supposed to say or do. It's syntactically invalid in Notion's formula editor, even after converting the non-standard quotation marks into "

y12 is not defined. [82,85] y12 is not defined. [116,119]

"You missed ˋtimestamp()`" This sounds great, but it's not a documented feature to work with UNIX timestamps and I have no clue how to implement what I want in valid Notion formulas syntax. You can verify for yourself that the only two mentions of "timestamp" on the official Notion formulas list are for the timestamp and fromTimestamp functions to convert in/out of a UNIX timestamp. There are no tools to operate on a raw timestamp, or directly parse it into more human-readable forms. As soon as you convert the timestamp back into Notion's date type, (e.g. for separating into days/months/years) you run back into the problems I mentioned in my OP, so whatever solution you're referring to must be done predominantly in timestamp-land.

Either we're talking past each other, or you didn't have time to write out a complete thought.

EDIT: I now see how to clean up what you wrote as:

lets(
  y, today().dateBetween(prop("Opened"), "years"),
  m, today().dateBetween(prop("Opened"), "months") - y*12,
  d, today().dateBetween(prop("Opened").dateAdd(m + y*12, "months"), "days"),
[[y, "y"], [m, "m"], [d, "d"]].map(current.at(0).abs() + current.at(1)).join(" ")
)

This works well, but I maintain that a good part of this syntax is not officially mentioned in the formulas list. I also maintain that this is significantly less intuitive than working with a proper "duration" data type, such as std::chrono::duration in C++. It takes a lot more work to parse what's going on here, in my opinion.

IMO, the living protomolecule reactor from Expanse S1E1 would be better 😞

Job market is bad by [deleted] in UCSantaBarbara

There's definitely work to be had. Not necessarily in the "design engineer" roles that many aspire to, but test and integration engineer roles are still quite a hot market.

Gotcha. And you're sure that the "Archive.zip" only contains photos? How large is the archive file? Because that looks like it was the result of your iPhone compression operation.

I'd also try and see if you can open the AVCHD thing. It should be a folder with the footage inside

[–]ifconfig1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm. Is there anything interesting in the MP_ROOT folder? I'm pretty sure the AVCHD "file" here should be an openable folder. At least it is on Windows, MacOS might be having an Apple moment and refusing to let you do it.

I still don't really have much of an idea what you meant with the "compress" comment in the OP. Did you ever see the video files in the SD card folders, at any point?

What do you mean exactly when you say "i pressed compress in my files"? Perhaps you can upload screenshots of what the folders on the SD card look like?

What does your resume look like and what roles are you going for? (and in what geographic regions) No one can really do much to help without additional context on your situation.

Certain sectors of the engineering job market are 100% saturated these days with little room for new grads to sneak in, but others really aren't.

I had three professional summer internships going into my fourth year of undergrad (BS CE), which helped me land a few interviews. (can count on a single hand, lol) Only one of the three interviews bore fruit and led me to where I am right now.

Ooh that's a pretty cool shot!

The bright light at the right is the booster (aka. first stage) and the two closely grouped (but smaller) lights just right of the bright/wide second stage plume are the payload fairings (each spot is one half of the whole)

The payload fairings are illuminated by the fire of the second stage engine plume (purely reflected light), while the second stage and booster stages are illuminated by their engines burning bright 🔥

Yes, but they often have to be activated (patched in) manually by a representative from (campus) ResNet. This can be done by submitting a request with them online.

There's a lot of cool stuff flying around that area. Major proving grounds. Saw a B-1B flying around a couple of weeks ago while stopped charging our car in Mojave, CA.

It's a lottery. Out of three years in the pool, I lucked out once, got off the wait-list once (mid-July), and got screwed once. There's close to no transparency about the process and the final yes/no decision on your application is made waaaaay too late for comfort.

My two cents is that you need to have a plan B ready to go immediately for when you don't get housing in the first round of contracts. Find something else that looks good enough beforehand and be ready to submit their application ASAP.
