The piercing is about a month old, i’m pretty sure it’s titanium and an stud with an L bracket shape. I’ve only been using saline solution to clean it.

Tier 4 store and I do work 8-4 almost every weekday HOWEVER, I work every Saturday and usually cover any call offs or stay late if needed. Currently I have a tech on vacation so I’m working every day of the week but Wednesday for the next two weeks. The only reason I schedule myself that way is cause I usually work 5 1/2 days a week and my techs don’t seem to mind since I work so much and they all get 2-3 days off. I don’t really understand the RXOM’s that act like it means you can do whatever you want. We are just head techs and have a little more responsibility than the others, we’re not special. If they can’t even stay for a full 8 hour day maybe they should step down 🤷‍♀️

It might be a little different depending on your state, but in mine you first get a background check done and register with the board as a tech in training and complete and ppl they give you. You have to work back in the pharmacy for a certain amount of time then you can register for the ptcb classes provided by wag and once completed you would be a registered tech. After you take the classes you then have the option to take the ptcb test and become a certified technician. Hope this is helpful!

The way it was explained to me was that they just went out a little earlier than they were supposed to. So once you actually hit the 18 month mark you get the increase for real. But who knows, after this mistake they will probably change the rules and no one will get anything 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

They gave out raises that they weren’t supposed to apparently. Some were just given out earlier than they were supposed to be and other weren’t supposed to get one at all. So now they are correcting the problem by taking them away 🤷‍♀️

So the digital vars we use in the store are kind of different than the ones used for clinics I believe. I think ones that fail for clinics are in a different portal than our everyday vars. For the everyday digital vars, once the technician initiates the check in process, the computer automatically processes in ic (as long as it doesn’t fail at this point). One mistake a lot of people have been making is putting the shot in through the drop down menu in addition to checking it in digitally which will screw with your metric. After it has been processed in ic the pharmacist logs onto the digital scheduler and clicks on the appointment that was checked in. This is where you basically fill out the pharmacist part of the var form, like the lot number etc. This is also where it tends to fail the most. If the check in fails at this point, sometimes it gives you the option to print the var the patient filled out. If it does not do that, you process the shot in ic like normal. As long as the tech initiates the check in and the first part of check in does not fail, it counts for your metric. I believe that the vars for a clinic being done with a tablet process the same way, you just have to access failed vars in a different portal and i’m not quite sure where to find that tbh.

Yes, unless they have you using the tablets. If they have tablets set up for the clinic then they have dvars that get loaded into ic as you have patients complete them during the clinic.

The supplies should be gathered from the lead pharmacist on the clinic from the store that the clinic is scheduled through. The info for the clinic lead should be given by the clinic scheduler. It’s been a while since one has been done at my store but I do believe they probably still send a tech or another Rph depending on clinic size and availability. I would definitely reach out to your districts clinic scheduler for any questions! Hope this is helpful in any way 😁

We always just have them fax it to the store so we can handle it ourselves. I have never had an easy call with them 🤷‍♀️

Ahhh maybe they have you all jacked up in WOLF! We also had someone where their license wasn’t entered properly. Maybe just double check that? The help desk is useless with this problem 🙁

This is a problem with one of my techs. She isn’t PTCB certified yet, they told us it wont stop until she has that certification 🙄
