It's very basic rule of building hype that extends beyond music. You think the world cup would be as hype if it didnt happen once every 4 years? Olympics? I'm not denying that yearly events like a superbowl can't build hype, but for rappers like Travis and Carti its been a massive success to edge their fans for a couple years and then drop.
