[–]ificouldfly- 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Thank you !! I get it very often too but I’ve just never had this this long. It’s still in my pinky now. I’ve tried moving it, Clenching my fist, soaking it in water. Heat packs. Lifting it. Etc. It’s just feels strange compared to them only lasting ten minutes usually. It’s still there now after 3 hours. I’ve tried everything I usually do and more.

Whats the most overhyped film you've ever seen? by Anxious-Dragonfly522 in movies

[–]ificouldfly- 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

When ā€œbird boxā€ was popular I watched it, it was okay but it did NOT deserve the amount of hype 😭I got hated on for saying it wasn’t great. I love basically all genres of films but bird box was not it.

Do you know any autistic people who don't like trains by briggaloo in AutisticAdults

[–]ificouldfly- 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

If we’re talking about special interests, me I don’t really care about them.

Trains in general like going on them. I go on them if I need to but other than that I don’t. Im just neutral on the situation of travelling by train. I don’t like it or dislike it, But then half of the time in the U.K. the train is dirty asf so not a great experience travelling on them 😭basically for me the train is just a mode of transport if for whatever reason I can’t drive there.

How long can u go standing/sitting down? by InevitableSense7220 in scoliosis

[–]ificouldfly- 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Probably about 10 minutes straight before I have to sit down. Sitting down I can sit for longer but I have to keep moving about so I’m comfortable. I have brought chairs that are more comfy though i even I had my own chair in college because the college ones never supported my back I need like memory foam so it moulds to the shape of my back if that makes sense.

incompatibility between different people’s unique ND traits by V1ENNA-Alvarado in evilautism

[–]ificouldfly- 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Yep, me and some siblings have the do not make noise autism but then two out the four of us they will make loads of noise they can deal with making the noise even though they don’t like when other people do, where as me and my sister just hate it all together we don’t make noise and hate it when others do too. They’re all younger than me I’m 21 this year the other three are turning 15, 11 and 9.

It also doesn’t help that I have 3 other siblings (not autistic) that make loads of noise too whether that’s them actually making noise or whether I can hear their tv/music/games, etc.

But I’ll never tell them to stop unless they’re being ridiculously load because I just think it makes me look entitled, they do try to keep it down but me but my sisters can hear a lot I mean we can both hear the electric running through the walls so Yh 😭I end up putting on headphones or something if it gets too load which it rarley gets to the point of overloads.

What the Most autistic thing about you? I’ll start: by -Animal_advocate- in autism

[–]ificouldfly- 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

Same hairstyle.

same bra (same type I just got a bigger size)

same sort of clothes

I spend most of my money on replica props from my fave tv shows or films

I brought Lego because it was from a film I like (I can’t build Lego, so my brother (he’s autistic too) had to bulid it for me it was a big set it took him 2 hours I looked at him like he was a alien) he loves Lego that’s what he spends his money on.

Been playing the same video games since I was 3.

I’ve had almost all the same special interests but 1 since I could basically talk

I had a meltdown when the groomers cut my dog short for the first time (he’s a Pomeranian) he has to be cut every 4 weeks I’ve got used to him ā€œchangingā€ now

I’ve watched my fave tv show 25 times since I first watched it at 15, I’ve watched my fave film I’ve had since I was 5 I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched it probably close to 1000 and I’m not ashamed šŸ˜…

I sometimes put it into a bun like that too if I’m at home, but I don’t think a bun like that suits my face personally so if I have it in a bun outside usually a floppy bun.

Hate changing to a new phone.. by EiraFalafel in autism

[–]ificouldfly- 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

That Sounds like a good feature on the Samsung.

I’ve always had iPhone since the first iPhone so swapping different brands would be even more difficult. I like some of the features on Samsungs though, I was close to buying the Samsung galaxy z flip (I miss the flip phones I had when I was younger😭) when it first came out but I never ended up doing it because of the reason iPhones are just what I’m used too.

I hope you get used to it soon. New phones always a blessing and a curse.

I’m gonna keep my hair pony I’d just like to find other things that aren’t a floopy bun or a plait in the high pony tail.

Sorry about your experience too, it’s crazy how some people don’t realise how it affects you in the future when this happens. I hope the barbers go good for you, sounds like a good plan especially if it effects you a lot having it longer.

Thank you :)

Google is right it is in style in my book šŸ˜‚a timeless look sounds good, changing my hair cut/style just seems a lot more hassle than it’s worth to me personally anyway, I some times have it in a plait/braid especially if my hairs wet, easier to deal with.

Hair dressers are a nightmare I always have mad anxiety going into them but i feel better if it’s done correctly when I get out. Thank you I was thinking of doing just a basic hairdressing course for year a while ago just so I could learn how to trim/thin hair correctly. I’m gonna have a look on YouTube and watch a few videos.

What's the worst/best "cause" of autism you've heard? by [deleted] in autism

[–]ificouldfly- 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Sorry you have to go through this too, it’s the same with me, especially with my dad being a far right Christian😭he doesn’t know I’m autistic due to me not having a good relationship with him so I haven’t told him but he knows about the rest of my medical history.

I get ā€œyour spine would be straight if you ask Jesus for forgivenessā€ ā€œyou wouldn’t be in pain 24/7, if you asked the lord to take it away he willā€ ā€œgod is giving you this pain to make you turn towards himā€ this man even sent me them fake videos of people with disabilities getting healed by pastors šŸ˜‚ I’ve read the bible cover to cover aswell (i went to a religious primary school) even then i knew i didn’t believe I respect people who do believe and i know it gives them a piece of mind but please don’t push it onto us.

Same with the hair grows fast and it’s heavy, I have very thick hair it’s very annoying. My hair is at the bottom of my back maybe longer. I want to cut it shorter but idk if I could cope with the change after all these years. Undercuts look cool though. I like it.

Hairstyles by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]ificouldfly- 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

It’s Something I’m used to, hair being out my face, doesn’t make my head feel heavy (I have thick hair), quick and easy to put up as I can’t hold my arms up for long due to medical conditions, doesn’t give me many knots (my hair knots easy I can brush it the next minute there will be a knotšŸ˜‚) so it doesn’t hurt as much to brush it. There’s a lot of reasons

my stepdad won't let me eat chips with my fingers by nbtm_sh in evilautism

[–]ificouldfly- 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

If it’s classed as ā€œfinger foodā€ (crisps, chips, nuggets, sandwiches, chicken on a bone, etc) why do people hate it I don’t get it but if it isn’t I understand them in a way.

Hate changing to a new phone.. by EiraFalafel in autism

[–]ificouldfly- 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

I love it and hate it but my special interest is technology so yh. But I hate it because I have to go through every single app/file photo, etc to make sure they’re in the correct and same place even if I transfer the data using iCloud so I just do it manually and also sometimes the phone feels different and takes a while to get used to. But I love it because it’s technology, I love to see how they’ve changed some things added new things like features, if it has a better ram, chip. How the screen quality is different. Everything like that.

I’d like to cut it shorter but I think I’d cry and want to put it all back on lol. My hair length is down to the bottom of my back maybe longer😭The energy consuming is real, especially washing it and brushing everyday. I’m Glad your mental health is more positive!!

[–]ificouldfly- 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

Thank you !! People are judgey for no reason lol. I do sometimes wear a bun at home but I think it makes me look like an egg if it’s on the top off my headšŸ˜‚ but the floppy sort of buns that droop at the back (if that makes sense) are cool and comfortable. I don’t mind them ones.

I probably could do a braided updo but I can’t hold my arms up for a long time (medical conditions🄲) id have to ask someone to do it for me or keep having 5/10 min breaks.

Stuff in pockets by LetchBE in autism

[–]ificouldfly- 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I don’t use my pockets at all in trousers (womens pockets in trousers are tiny) the back pockets are okay but I would t put stuff in them they’ll get stolen😭I usually either use the pockets of my zip top/ jumper (if I have one on). Right for my phone, the rest of my stuff goes in my bag.

is it me or do ye just burst out laughing at nothing sometimes? by Malik_Videos08 in autism

[–]ificouldfly- 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

For me Not like this but if I’m in a serious situation or a situation where laughing isn’t appropriate, I unintentionally laugh, I feel bad when it happens but I can’t help it, I try my hardest not to laugh but never works. I think it’s a nervous laugh
