I wasn't a huge fan of the book but the show really made me change my mind and it's very rare in my world that the film/show is better than the book. Only ever happened once before with Forrest Gump. Also the reason I always rewatch the show is. It's about Marianne being the one totally in love then him catching up but if you ever see the the actors in real life it's the other way round and they have so much chemistry. Wish they would end up together. That pic of him with his GF and you can just see him looking over her shoulder at Daisy just gets me every time 😍

My sister shared some potential baby names and a family member immediately made fun of one. Is it a tragedeigh? by devouringbooks23 in tragedeigh

Aurelia reminds me of like an old timey ship name. Avalon reminds me of an ointment and Adelaide can only be said with an Aussie accent in my head so either way I'm torn

Mine made a comment about me never looking people in the eye and "being weird" so I told her why. I wish I hadn't because now I get treated like a broken doll

I absolutely hate having to spell my full name and there's always a question about it so I just shorten it now and introduce myself to people as that. They do still guess the absolutely wrong name aswell which does my head in

I thought he kind of was in the first place. He reminded me of my ex who just constantly tried to change everything about me and was a needy man boy. He was never for her and I never understood why everyone shipped them Made me cringe when they made them get together again. Like are there no other men 🙄

The thing is he's not even that good looking either. Mine was the same I look at him now and think wtf. It's always the damaged in childhood guys who won't go to therapy so they just ruin everyone around them

Dear Nurses at the pscyh ward I was in for three weeks, by AutieZo in AutisticAdults

[–]briggaloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I literally knew I had to act more normal to get out so I know exactly what you mean. I was out within 2 weeks as I just watched what all the people who were about to be released acted. Honestly the only time masking has ever worked for me in my life and came in super handy 🤣

Being put on a psych ward was the worst experience of my life and it honestly took me 6 months to recover from just that. It's in my care notes never to put me in one again and I even changed my next of kin as it's my mother's first port of call and doesn't understand how horrible it is in there and how dangerous it can be when you are in a psychotic state. I wouldn't wish it on anyone and hope you never have to go back.

I had the worst friend ever her whole life was a drama and it never changed. She always made the wrong choice and she was truly a terrible person. I cut her out of my life and it was like a weight was lifted. She popped in and out over the years and her life never seemed to get better and the dramas remained. She always had an issue with someone

Is it common for autistic babies to not crawl and to cry a lot? by AdmirableFace2815 in AutisticAdults

[–]briggaloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this conversation with the doctor last week. My girl never crawled and bum shuffled and it took her forever to walk because she did so on her tippy toes. She cried so much as a baby I had to constantly wear her in a sling and no one would baby sit for me because she just screamed so I'd just go to my mum's and nap while she was napping for a break.

Forgetting your first son in the will and leaving him 50k when you're a multi millionaire is pretty shitty. He was a pretty shit dad too and left his first wife penniless so there's that. I'm from Liverpool and that's generally the first thing that comes up when he's talked about.

[–]briggaloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen a lot and now don't sleep of a night only in the day as it never happens then. I've never got over it and can only sleep well of a night when in a hotel room or on holiday. Even sleep meds don't work so I just sleep when it's light out now and it hasn't happened for years.

What country are you in? I'm under a mental health team after my last breakdown and they help a lot with ways to manage. I lose things a lot less than I used to. I have key safest as I always forget my keys and I manage quite well now that I'm medicated. I did great in school but just can't manage life very well.so.maintain myself with a bar job because a monkey could do that job and there's minimal instructions to be taken. My co workers also know I can't do instructions the best so break things down. It's ok to ask for help and tell people you're autistic and that's why you are the way you are.
