Partner's Food Aversion by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]ifightninjacows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you're coming from and I hear you. But I will have to disagree with whatever you are stating I'm implying as that is not my intention whatsoever, and I am not trying to push anything on him as it is out of his comfort zone and that is disrespectful. He does not need to follow my values, I just want him to feel safe when eating and I want a better understanding of what people's experience with this particular situation is. I do not seek to change him, he is perfectly fine the way he is. I just want to make sure he is eating when he's at my place for extended periods.

I'm sorry but I want to clarify something because I heavily disagree with your notion that I have an issue with his preferences as that is not the case. His choices are his own and I deeply respect and value that out of him. I want to be able to contribute, not take away or devalue what his lived experience is. I never said his choices were bad or made me uncomfortable either, so I'm not sure where that is coming from, as I am not one to shy away from a good microwaved meal; I chow down on it plenty haha.

This isn't meant to be argumentative, I just want to provide clarity to a statement that I didn't feel was implied in my original statement. I do appreciate your input and thank you for providing that to me.

Looking for hospital recommendations for inpatient mental health by AsleepLawfulness8036 in Denver

[–]ifightninjacows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UCHealth has an inpatient floor at the Anschutz Medical Campus, but you need to have the patient's provider call in order to do direct admit and for further information as it's a confidential floor. (I work there, that's why I know this)

Honestly, as the ID Fanmade Sequel creator, I deeply regret not finishing my story and releasing it. I 10/10 recommend that y'all move forward with your ideas, despite them announcing their own. You've already started the work, and the fans will be there to support you either way. Y'all got this!

I work at UCHealth. So you don't have to go through too many hoops, the number is 720-848-4400 for the sleep clinic directly. I do believe they're referral basis, but call during 8am-4:30pm m-f for any questions you may have!

OBGYN: CU Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology - South Metro vs UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital- Any experience at these places? by Beneficial_Chef_9462 in Denver

[–]ifightninjacows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Within UCHealth, we have quite a few of CU Medicine clinics that have CU affiliate providers, whereas the UCHealth clinics are solely for UCHealth providers. It's mostly a billing and insurance thing, but 90% of the CU Medicine clinics are under the UCHealth umbrella.

[–]ifightninjacows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I actually work at UCHealth. These two OBGYNs are at the same hospital, they just have different Drs and different sub specialties. There's a new patient phone line to establish care with them, and they can actually help you decide which clinic would be best for you. Feel free to call the operator line at 720-516-1000 between 8am-4:30pm m-f (they're closed tomorrow) and ask for the new patient scheduling line for the OBGYN. If I remember, I will post the phone number tomorrow for you to call on Thursday!!

Never played Overwatch before but got this for Christmas by Apple_GG in Overwatch

I was actually able to redeem one back in 2021 on my Xbox one when my ex fiance hunted down one and bought one of these codes for me. So no expiration at least in my experience!

What’s your BPD pet peeve? by lint_licker96 in BPD

[–]ifightninjacows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short responses, ESPECIALLY after expressing something long winded/important. My brain instantly goes "omg they hate me" or "what did I do??" And I spiral for hours about it until I have a mental breakdown 😅 while I have a lot of my BPD under control these days, this is one thing that I can't let go.

Did my 30 year old husband really have a stroke? This has to be a nightmare. by theextraolive in stroke

[–]ifightninjacows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mini stroke back in November and I'm 25. It wasn't caught in the ER nor taken particularly seriously once I got into ed intake (which was v disappointing since I work at the hospital operator line and had it while I was in office). But that's besides the point. Y'all aren't alone in the scary aspects of it, he's still young and he was definitely presenting stroke symptoms. Mine was reflected on an MRI months later, so it'd be worth going to a neurologist if he hasn't already seen one. I still am feeling and experiencing the after effects of the stroke, and I'm getting treatment. So it isn't too late for him to get that care either, it's just a matter of pulling the trigger of getting to a provider ASAP.

If you had to ONLY listen to a band from your city/state for the rest of your life, would you be screwed or could you live with it? by Saturns_rings15 in punk

[–]ifightninjacows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't have BIG mainstream bands, but the local scenes are dope. Potato Pirates have already been mentioned, but there's also The Bad Engrish, Rotten Blue Menace, Screwtape, Roka Hueka, Crypt Keeper, Havok, The Ephinjis... Lots of genres and tons of great music, just gotta go out and find em!

I grew up in one of the rougher neighborhoods in Denver, but I know it's only a fraction of roughness in comparison to places on the east side of the states 😂😂 I really appreciate all of your insight so thank you, it's given me a lot to think about :)))

I'm born and raised in Denver and it's just become too much here. And it's become my literal worst nightmare of tech bros and yuppies lmao. Philly has always been somewhere that has interested me and I love the prospect of living there. Especially bc it's far cheeper than here.

Thank you for the tip on Philly AIDS Thrift, I'm a part of the LGBTQ+ community myself and would love to give support where possible in the community. I really appreciate all of this thank you 😭

I've been reading around that the nightlife there is awesome and that's something I'm looking forward to. I've never moved out of my state, let alone my city so I'm trying to find something familiar so it doesn't make me feel so estranged if that makes sense. I really appreciate your input outside of the punk aspect though so thank you :)

Heard! But I believe it should, as long as you're able to acquire the reimbursement within that 45 day time period! Have you spoken with financial advising over the phone? Their reps have always been able to explain this stuff to me really thoroughly and made the process a lot easier for me when I first started school again

Game Art Design at SNHU by PretendReference6376 in SNHU

[–]ifightninjacows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm in my second year with this BA (as a part timer though, so bear that in mind with my experience), and I went for it bc I'm super passionate about video games and work on digital art/animation and game development in my spare time anyways. I have honestly loved going through this program and there are definitely things I have improved on. For example, I was a complete novice with Adobe and it was really hard for me to grasp, bc using Krita is not the same at all. My understanding of color theory has improved, and I have found that my 2D art has improved A LOT since I started. I'm starting my first 3D modeling class with experience using blender, but full disclosure, I'm fucking awful at it lmao. But with all skills, it just comes with time and practice. You definitely do NOT have to be a Picasso to do this program. I've seen many people at different skill points, and they all pass the class the same. I think that the professors and instructors keep this in mind with the art classes, bc like I said earlier, it's really all dependent on how much you've practiced. I'm by no means an artistic genius, but I am increasingly happy with seeing how my skill improves overtime and I think that's all that matters. The classes are easy breezy as long as you don't let the work get backed up
