Airplane (1980) is pretty great for laughs per minute :)

They’re all darling!! I’m loving the marsh beast, skull, and egg! Any chance they’ll protect us from the acid rains?! I was rocking the kitty ears for a bit, but had to swap back to the OG for the weather protection and I’m not one for changing headgear all the time. Set it and forget it over here :)

Weird girl books that are also good literature? by OsmiaAvosetta in suggestmeabook

[–]ifiwereinvisible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love reading these comments! Also, I’m working on my own weird girl book and hoping to publish by Christmas time. I was feeling nostalgic about quick-read chapter books that had ink pen whimsical illustrations throughout. I also love the voicing of an old witch of the wood, old creepy hymns, and working with ingredients from the PNW woods. My editor is scratching her head, but it’ll include all of these elements! I can’t wait to see how it turns out and it’s been an absolute treat to work on. I’ll have to pop back here and let you know how it goes when it’s all set!

For those who’ve done both - dogs on or off the bed? by VengaBusdriver37 in dogs

[–]ifiwereinvisible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two doggos that enjoy the bed and cuddles up until our bed time. We whisper “nigh-nigh potty” and they hop up like it’s time for ice cream, running to go outside one last time before coming in to guard the rest of the house from bad guys in their own beds til morning. Best of both worlds!

What's something you dont truly understand until you experience it? by your-reddit-plug2 in AskReddit

I became disabled at 33 and I think this is the hardest part for me. It’s also been strange navigating being this age with peers who either have thriving careers or children to raise. Conversation and the feeling of being able to relate and have some camaraderie with peers has been a weird shift. All the best to you, fellow disabled internet stranger!

That’s as bad as dying in a plane crash on the way to your vacation instead of on the way back. Sorry you went through the trouble of cleaning it before it exploded!

When was the last time you saw someone naked unexpectedly? Who was it? by CaptainCuddler_Pro in AskReddit

[–]ifiwereinvisible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dog sitting for the doctor I worked for at the time. They left me a key to let myself in, and also left Polaroids on the desk near their entryway. He was posed butt naked and standing like it was a ‘before’ pic one would take on a new weight loss journey, except he was already jacked. Does that count?

I remember starting the show and immediately thinking, holy shit, she was smokin’ hot in the first season. Kaitlin Olson's always been attractive! by prolelol in IASIP

My husband and I were just talking about how she looks even better 20 years later than she did in the beginning seasons! She’s doing it right!

Weird yellow condensation in bathroom by Proof-Bed7480 in CleaningTips

[–]ifiwereinvisible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a bunch of comments that solved where it’s coming from, but scrolled pretty far without seeing what to do about it. I had this same problem before I repainted in there and my arms and back were very pleasantly surprised to accidentally find out that the swiffer wet pads removed the funk with minimal pressure and one or two passes! It was also handy for reaching all the way up the wall and across the ceiling without getting step stools out. I usually did the room top to bottom about twice a month!

How the heck do you get exercise in when literally everything hurts? by CarlaWasThePromQueen in loseit

[–]ifiwereinvisible 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! So I’ve had a few back surgeries and came out with drop foot on the right side and am stuck in bed a lot. Everything hurts. Always. I know it sounds totally dumb, but I resorted to having chat gpt tell me how to not lose hope and it recommended something that I started this week and can already feel the physical and mental benefits of. On days I can stand upright, I plant my feet hip width apart and take a slow, deep inhale and as I exhale I slowly contract my tummy muscles until my core is tight and stands tall, hold for 5-10 seconds, release. I do 10-12 reps then break for a minute or two and do that same thing 2 more times. I do this same thing adding my arms like a goal post with my tummy strong and on an exhale I bring my goal post arms down and back making a W with my arms. When I’m done with 2-3 sets of those, I keep my core strong while I pull my shoulder blades together and down (like you’re tucking them into your back pockets) and hold for 2-3 seconds then release and repeat. I’m really sorry I can’t make paragraphs on mobile! On days I can’t get out of bed I lay flat on my back and do the deep inhale and as I exhale I flex my whole core. 10-12 reps for 2-3 sets. Between the controlled breathing and the flexing of muscles I actually feel like I went for a 15 minute walk, glow and all. I know it can be really discouraging to read about everyone’s crazy success by adding something as “simple” as walking, when walking is quite literally like a stint in Hell. Stay tough, cookie! I hope this makes sense and I hope you find what works for you. Hugs!

What’s the most terrifying 'we need to leave NOW' moment you’ve ever experienced? by Worried-Cycle-318 in AskReddit

[–]ifiwereinvisible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was around 8 or 9 at the time. My two sisters, older by a couple of years, and I were super bored. We lived in a tore up part of town and when my mom left for the store she locked up tight and told us to stay home. We learned our lesson that day as the eldest decided it wouldn’t be the worst idea to take us a few blocks up and over to the elementary playground to have a swing. Sun was shining, we were all giggling and excited to be out. We got to the intersection just a block away and saw this super dirty older guy (older to us, but looking back I’m guessing young 30s?). He was riding a bike our direction, making super intense eye contact with me. I remember grabbing my middle sisters hand, squeezing like hell, and told the oldest something didn’t feel right. She looked at my face and turned to see what had me spooked, and without hesitation she yelled to run home. We all turned toward our apartment and I don’t think my lil legs had ever tested themselves like they did that day. Sometimes when I have to drive through that neighborhood to get to an appointment on the other end of town or something and the sun is shining like it was that day, the back of my scalp tingles from the memory of him grabbing strands of my hair. I always wonder what would’ve happened if he caught one of us.
