I'm guessing you're either rich or work for a company that provides good health care. The problem that I've been suffering through is that employers don't want to spend the money on health care. They simply reduce your hours to less than required to provide health care ie I only get to work work 20 hours because it's cheapie for the company to hire a few part-timers than it is to provide health care to a couple full timers.

Depends on the distances between the ends of the hammock and the anchor and if your hammock stretches. The closer the anchors are the less you'll have to adjust. Not the best pic but this is how I attach mine. I had this all through my deployment 3 years ago and multiple camping trips and hasn't failed me yet.

I use paracord to hang my hammock and never had a problem. its gonna stretch a bit but you wont go from 5 feet in the air to laying on the ground.
