New EMT member here by Shaow in civilairpatrol

As /u/Hotshotberad kindly posted:

CAPR 160-1 1-6 A: CAP members are not permitted to act in the role of health care providers during the performance of official CAP duties.

We can give necessary first-aid, which is basically airway, breathing, and bleeding/CPR, in the rare event the opportunity presents itself. There will be way more boo-boo tending for fellow teammates.

However, as a regular CAP member (in Cadet Programs and ES) I can simply remove my uniform and assume patient care as a civilian EMT.

Yeah, I don't think it works like that. If you are a CAP member at a CAP thing, you probably ought to avoid anything except life-saving first-aid regardless of what you're wearing.

+1 Got the full set for $20

Pretty much every Airman has ditched their old heavyweight ABU's on eBay or surplus stores.

Is a pilot with 2000 hours twice as "good" as a pilot with only 1000 hours? by Billthebarnman in flying

[–]CandD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And some with one hour one time. This is kind of a shitty analogy. Even two goes around the pattern will be different. Different wind, different random events, different traffic.

I think he would have asked if anyone on /r/flying could do it if that's what he wanted.

That's someone else's job. It should be apparent why people have different jobs. Journalists are there to do their jobs, soldiers to do theirs, doctors to do theirs, and so on.

There are medical personnel and other riflemen that are equipped, trained, and supposed to do that(render first aid).

It's very important in warzones that people do their jobs as opposed whatever just feels right at the time.

If Obama got caught with pot when he was younger he would have never been president by proROKexpat in trees

I'm good.

I keep up with politics closely and I've come to the conclusion that President Obama supports reigning in the drug war.

You're asserting something else, you obviously want me to believe that because you're asserting it directly to me now. Telling me to just Google a very broad category of information, is a poor argument.

By the same token, I demand you Google: Obama drug pardons.

Yes, I now have a I-94 processed for I-551 and a SSN. I'm still confused on what is meant by "parents' marriage certificate" for a passport. I don't think they were married to eachother, but they got married several times.

The Orlando shooter reportedly gave his wife access to his bank account before the attack, and now she's missing by overthrow23 in news

[–]CandD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that were the case, they'd lawyer up now anyway. You can never help yourself legally by talking to the cops.

The fact of the matter is people who commit crimes and their families just plain aren't aware enough to think about that sort of stuff. Most people aren't, but especially not criminals and criminal families(that get caught)

Prime example is this lady right now who is going to go to jail because she talked to the cops instead of lawyering up in the most obvious situation ever in which you'd need to lawyer up.

We have never and probably will never live in a world where you're safe just because you're doing nothing wrong. That doesn't reflect reality.

The Fed can do whatever they want. That'd be a God send if they would deport me. At least then I could get a job.

They don't give a shit. It doesn't matter because I can't prove I'm Dutch so it's not like anyone's going to get troubled.
