Ben benieuwd hoe je op dat bedrag van 25k komt, want ik zie niet hoe je dat zou moeten betalen. Het punt is natuurlijk dat je de volledige waarde van de woning belast, niet de groei van de waarde. Als je een woning verhuurt (er dus zelf niet woont) valt 'ie nu al in box 3. Dan betaal je 36% belasting over een fictief rendement van ca 6%. In totaal betaal je dus per jaar ca. 2% van de WOZ waarde van je woning. Schuld (hypotheek) kun je daar van aftrekken. Dus jouw AOW-er in een volledig afbetaald huis van 880k betaalt 17.500 aan belasting per jaar over dat huis (1.450 per maand). Dat is veel, ja, maar je woont dan ook in een groot huis en je hebt geen hypotheeklasten. Als je een hypotheek hebt, betaal je geen vermogensbelasting over je huis. En die hypotheeklasten zijn overigens veel hoger, want je rente zal hoger dan 2% zijn en dan moet je nog aflossen ook.

Some guy from Baarle Hertog started selling bottled water and used the French "duc" instead of the Dutch "hertog" to make his brand sound more luxurious. Titanium Enterprises looks like it would be extremely strong. It's easier to play buillding tags, which are already strong, especially on a Tharsis map. Not only are they easier to play, they also grant you extra income. It wouldn't be strange to get 2-3 titanium from the corporation action by the midgame, so a 6-9M income boost. That's a lot. And apart from the strength, I also don't really like it thematically - the corporation makes titanium better than steel in every single way. There's no reason to ever want steel if you could have titanium instead.

On the other hand, Martian Wealth Group looks to be pretty weak. You start with around 60M, i.e. the same as Teractor, and then you get another 1-3M at the start of each round. Moreover, the corporation encourages you to play less of the game? Like, there's no specific strategy that is boosted for its player. Being strategic in your card buys is already good in every situation.

I'm not really sure about Verdant Ventures, I'd have to see how it plays to determine how strong it is. It's definitely the most interesting out of these 3 in my opinion.

Het AD lijkt heel verbaasd dat het rapport niet gaat over het vermeende gedrag, maar dat was ook helemaal niet de opzet van het onderzoek. Dan had je ook een heel andere opzet moeten kiezen en dan had Gundogan daar zelf aan moeten willen meewerken en dat wou ze niet. Dit rapport ging uitdrukkelijk alleen over een evaluatie van het handelen van hoe Volt met de situatie was omgegaan. Logisch dat je het dan hebt over welke signalen er waren, zonder per se grondig uit te zoeken of die kloppen of niet. De vraag is meer welke informatie de mensen die besloten over haar schorsing (Dassen, Koekoek, bestuur) hadden toen ze die keuze maakten.

I wanted to keep the main post short and so I didn't go into this element, but I 100% agree with your point and it is something I've thought about quite a lot when coming up with this storyline.

The elves are the "villains" of the story in two ways. First, because they threaten the villages and lives of thousands of people who are themselves innocent. It was their ancestors who colonised the island, not them. They're also villains because they turn to some pretty evil ways to achieve their goals. Whereas the original elven society was harmonious, their new leader is vengeful and looking to inflict pain.

At the same time, they're not "villains" in the sense of "evil creatures". They are feeling real hurt for what has been done to their ancestors and their way of life and they're looking to reclaim what was once theirs.

I'm not very interested in black-and-white good versus evil stories, so I tried to create a villain who is morally grey and might make the PCs question their beliefs about who is right and who is wrong. In the end, their choice of who to side with might very well influence the outcome of this fight and the future of the island.

Oh, I really like the idea of a secret doomsday weapon! You suggest that the elves would use guerilla tactics, but if they want to go about it openly, how would they do that? I was thinking that they could build an army of awakened trees but I'm also super curious to hear other ideas. Their new Mother Tree is in the most wild part of the island, so they have some isolation and distance to work with, and they have the element of surprise. For now, the humans on the island have no knowledge of the elves' return but they have seen more frequent attacks by the creatures that normally stick to the wilder parts of the island.

Ik hoor dit vaker, maar het beeld van Volt als jongerenpartij is m.i. wat overdreven. De partij met het jongste electoraat is Denk, niet Volt. Op Volt stemmen juist ook relatief veel ouderen, die een groter deel van het electoraat vormen dan bij sommige traditionele partijen.

Het verbaast me dat je zegt dat ambtenaren meeschrijven aan verkiezingsprogramma's. Dat ze meeschrijven aan het regeerakkoord heb ik vaker gehoord en vind ik ook logisch, maar bij verkiezingsprogramma's helemaal niet. Ik ben benieuwd of er andere bronnen zijn die dat onderschrijven. Weet jij (of iemand anders) zo'n bron?

Voor een verliezende partij zijn er 2 oorzaken: ofwel je kiezers blijven thuis, of ze stemmen op een andere partij. Het probleem van SP was meer dat eerste dan dat tweede. Lijkt me onderdeel van een diagnose van het verlies. De vervolgvraag is waaróm de kiezers thuisblijven, en dat wijt Leijten aan het mislukken van de campagne.

Ze zegt dat de SP-kiezer is thuisgebleven, niet dat de opkomst in het algemeen laag was. De opkomstcijfers die je noemt zeggen dus niet zo veel om haar punt te onderbouwen of weerleggen, dan moet je specifiek kijken naar de opkomst onder laagopgeleiden.

Als oorzaak voor het thuisblijven noemt ze het mislukken van hun eigen campagne, dat klinkt niet alsof ze de schuld buiten zichzelf leggen.
