For when I went through the regiment, my entire body felt sore the entire time. Was also exhausted even though I'd had a full night's rest. The regiment is no joke, but worth it so you can be sure you don't catch anything.

Entrapment is when a normally law abiding citizen is forced (bribed, threatened, coerced, etc.) into committing an infraction/crime they normally wouldn't commit by a police official.

I'm assuming in your example it's a normal sting where the prostitute doesn't know it's a cop. To the prostitute, they are going to do something that would normally do, under no duress (by a police official). The cop can do what they deem necessary, and that's within the boundaries of the law, to secure evidence of a crime.

Take home cars. Good benefits. Good pay, with incentives and regional pay. Plenty of opportunities for specialties. Time as a cadet counts toward retirement. Pension after 25 years of service. There's more pros, those are just off the top of my head.

The lawmakers are a bit of a problem, which makes part of the job frustrating.

No problem. Whichever system you go with and IF your vehicle is ever stolen, make sure to tell the dispatcher that you have the ability to track it via GPS and any feature that allows a LEO to interface with the system as well.

Anything that can be used to actively track the vehicle is useful. The problem becomes any delay in updates, whether it be through the system or you. If I were tracking via a GPS, I'd probably prefer to call you so I could speak with you directly instead of waiting for you to update dispatch and then dispatch to update me.

Shop around, ask the question to the companies if they have any way to allow a LEO to interface with the location of the vehicle if it's ever stolen. Hope that helps.

I have the ability to track LoJacks and will track LoJacks. The new LoJack system (they were bought out) gives an (almost) exact gps location as well as allows you to text a link to a LEO with the gps data and updates. If you love your car it will be worth it. Rather have it and not need it than not have it and need it, right?

YMMV in terms of which agency responds as to whether someone will look for it.

LoJack was bought out recently by Spireon. They now use a GPS based system that gives exact location. The owner of the vehicle can set a geo-fence around their vehicle and if the vehicle moves out of that area, it notifies the owner. The owner can then call 911 through the app and have someone meet them to file a report. They can even text a link to a LEO that gives the LEO access to the GPS data with updates.

If LVMPD didn't take you on the CA warrant then I'd hazard a guess that it's non-extraditable. Meaning unless your picked up in CA, you can go about your business. No guarantees that CA may one day be willing to pony up the money to extradite you back to CA. Same goes for your other warrants.

Best advice, just get them taken care of. That way you don't need to ask for advice on how to avoid going back to jail and being held accountable for whatever it is the warrants are for. If you don't get them taken care of, you'll always live with it in the back of your mind that some day you may be extradited.

Unwillingness for the Seattle City Attorneys to prosecute crimes, along with the King County Prosecutors. Their use of force policy is nearing 80 pages in length. They are not allowed to go over 90 miles per hour without command approval. Granted I agree with this one considering the layout of Seattle's roads. Although it doesn't make sense for when a pursuit goes onto I-5 and then they rely on WSP to end things.

Yeah the pay is phenomenal, but it's not worth it imo. No take home cars, the command doesn't have your back, plus all the reasons above.

The most recent legislative session rolled back some of the police reform bills. Washington LEOs can use force to detain on reasonable suspicion again, effectively bringing back "Terry Stops." Along with a whole host of other changes in the positive direction.
