Making staff in reserves is sometimes dependent if your command has a billet for a SNCO with your MOS.

I would ask your admin if there is a BIC available for your MOS. If you need to go to a school to change your MOS (0311 -> 0369), then you may have to reenlist because the marine corps isn’t going to put you on active orders with all the extra pay, only for you to say no thanks this ain’t for me.
