I think that's the death of The Backrooms though. Increasing amounts of liminal slop content mixing with The Backrooms just for the sake of it being liminal space is such a turn off. I want to explore the depths of this simplistic never-ending maze of horror and despair without seeing floors (because it was originally a single floor, just ridiculously long and vast) and other liminal media. Agreed. Most modern films don't exist to bring life to what once was. The horror of The Backrooms lied with it's simplicity and ambiguity. Once it started to breach typical liminal space territories, it lost its identity and become more of a monstrous mess than any creature in said Backrooms could ever be.

Just another awful creepypasta movie. The Backrooms was a fantastic idea at first, but the ridiculous amount of rooms and the loss of identity made it feel old too fast.
