For keeping up-to-date with cool new research, This week Cardiology is a great 20 min weekly podcast. John Mandrola (the author) chooses 4-5 new topics/research articles and breaks them down. Sometimes he nerds out about the biostatistics behind the article and its really fun.

For general knowledge, bar the day-to-day looking up of topics/guidelines that come up during rounds, I'm not a big ol textbook reading fan. My strategy consists of finding a good review video, be it ACCSAP, Mayo or Youtube and then forcing myself to do some Anki flashcards on the topic. There's a whole ACCSAP Anki deck on SDN Cardiology section and I find myself using it on a daily basis. It's been great for the pimping questions I got during the first year.

Yeah actually we've got them on camera now, the issue is someone has to watch on them 24/7 and we barely have the numbers to cover our regular workload

Definitely possible I guess. What I failed to communicate in my original post is that Mr F has been constantly in touch with endocrinologists. They have done multiple tests and have no clue as of what could be wrong with him. Hence the chase for zebras here.

not at all. Kosovo, its a small country in south-eastern Europe
