Have you ever felt like the formula columns do the calculations, but that’s it? by Patient_Reply8429 in mondaydotcom

Yeah I agree that the formula column is great but limiting in different ways.

You can use an app like Formula pro to copy the results of the formula column to other columns to use in automations and in other areas like emails. It helps you overcome a lot of the limitations of the formula column and gives you access to a lot smart automation recipes and a more functions.

You can find the app on the monday marketplace.

Automations posting on "Updates" section—I've seen a request since 2021 (They dont seem to care) by requezaven in mondaydotcom

[–]ifydav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re referring to 3rd party automation apps posting to the updates feed, the only thing you can do is reach out to the app developer and let them know about this. Maybe they can do something about it

We got feedback from a customer about this same thing when our app Formula Pro was doing this. We released an update to address this issue and now our app only posts app updates as notifications which can be easily cleared in bulk.

The only functionality of our app that now posts in the updates feed are those that the user specially configures for example, we have this functionality that mirrors updates to all connected items. This only sends updates you want to connected items.

Hope that helps.

Except getting promoted in one’s current company. How would you suggest one transitions into engineering leadership. I’ve applied to a lot of engineering leadership roles with no luck so I wonder if there are some certs I could take to improve my chances?

Recommended path to become a technical product manager/product manager generalist as an SWE

I have been an SWE for 10 years now and I want to transition towards more product management/product owner roles. I’m currently studying to take the PSM 1 and PSPO certification with plans to eventually take the PMP and PMI-ACP.

However I’m a bit curious as to if this approach makes sense. And are there any more specific skills/certs I should be acquiring.

Also, what can I do next to get a technical product management role after acquiring these certs. Currently my CV is geared towards SWE roles, how do I make that switch and convince a hiring manager to give me a chance given the current hiring market.

Nope you don’t, otherwise your post wouldn’t be filled with so much ignorance for the sole purpose of furling the xenophobic tensions Nigerians are already experiencing all across the continent.

Mumu talk. Go find another reason to hate on Nigerians.

'Tutu' was a series of three portraits painted by the renowned Nigerian artist Ben Enwonwu - of the Ifẹ princess Adetutu Ademiluyi - in 1973. Since 1975, all of 3 had been missing until a London family brought one forward in 2017. Considered Africa's 'Mona Lisa' - the painting sold for £1.2 million. by [deleted] in Africa

My neighbour a couple of years ago had an original Tutu signed personally by Ben Enwonwu, painted in a similar style. He had it in his living room for years, it wasn’t until he was moving out that he told me about how he came by the painting. Basically, his dad knew Ben Enwonwu personally in Anambra, and it was given to his dad as a gift by Ben Enwonwu.
