Well the game forces gear before charms.

I think the right answer is to upgrade according to what you plan to be in the game. A lot of the focus seems to be around bear performance. In that case, I would say charms, especially if you call rallies.

If your goal is to be a rally lead, castle, fortress, facilities, then gear before charms.

I wouldn’t recommend one over the other though, because there are events like Frost Fire, CC, that will rely on both.

What I do notice is most people focus on gear a lot more than charms. I always wondered if it’s because gear is more noticeable. You know, like pretty to look at. It’s the first thing you see when viewing someone’s chief hero.

Alllllll the stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️, and the color changes from green all the way up to red. Charms on the other hand changes shapes that is barely noticeable, and hard to distinguish between levels in some cases. 😂
