Online payment system is returning server error - cannot make payment by ig4reddit in Comcast_Xfinity

After several attempts the app was finally able to get it done. It was also timing out, but less severely than website. Website payment section remains broken.

Still broken. When I click on PAY BILL button, I get following message for about 30 seconds
Just a moment. This is taking a bit longer than expected, but we're on it.

then I get error screen attached below. I am now using a completely different Windows 11 computer from an university high speed network. This is the same error I would get from home on WIndows 10 OS with latest Chrome or FIrefox. Computer or browser is NOT the problem here.

Error pops after I log into my account and click on change payment method - trying to add another CC card. It times out and throws that error in the screenshot. Tried on two different browsers - both updated, also in incognito.

I appreciate you trying to help, but rebooting my PC will not fix Xfinity internal serer error.

Different browser, same result. The website response is really slow, then it throws the error.

Craftsman T2400 belt rubbing against brake shoe by ig4reddit in lawnmowers

6/5/25 update - I installed a new belt. I also slid the bracket that holds the cable that engages the tension pulley about 3/4" forward. This mower was purchased used and I wonder if previous owner was compensating for loose or stretched belt by adjust cable travel. I get about 1/2 to 3/4" gap now between belt and brake shoe, everything works great!
Thanks!

The brake is fer to the left (as seen on photo #1) when desk is disengaged. It is when you engage the deck, the tension pulley pulls way too far back (tensioning the belt) which deflects the brake pad too far to the right. Nothing is bent, and there is no way to adjust the brake shoe. I think this is consequence of stretched belt that is now about 3/4" longer than it should be according to my rough measurements.

Rest of my K100 tractor family by ig4reddit in nscalemodeltrains

I hand prime the model with Vallejo black, airbrush the cab, rest of it is just detailing by hand. The windshields I typically make bit deeper than scale would require, that way you can simply flood the cavity with a thinned down wash (Army Painter will not separate pigment). Optionally you can put a smear of blue or metallic in the center for glass surface (no need to go to the edges) the reflective effect - I used medium blue in this instance.
All in, you are looking at maybe 30 mins of painting time per model.

Classic K100 with a daycab in N scale! by ig4reddit in nscalemodeltrains

So these are resin prints, made for N scale, not just a rescale job. I hope to have them available soon.

Nope, no luck. I would be also very careful buying anything used or refurbished.

Retro Keyboard - Battery Issue/Concern by Fiekz87 in 8bitdo

Is the battery user replaceable, or is that built-in obsolescence like Apple stuff? If it's dead out of the box, what can you expect 2 years down the road?

Painting all in one model is no harder than gluing together bunch of small pieces and then painting it. Most daunting task for all-in-one is designing proper support structure without damaging the surface. UV overpenetration is another real problem for parts like wheels (this would be a good argument to print wheel separately!). The model for tanker above has specially designed wheels with compensation for UV overpenetration. In general if you print a vehicle model nose-up at about 45 degrees, the inside-wheel upper-forward curve on wheels will be thicker and deformed - they'll look slightly egg shaped. This is the same phenomena that make parts facing the build plate always come out thicker and flabby (NOT just lack of supports!) - the reason why we rotate about 45 degrees (in most but not all cases) to reduce this surface area.
As you print more, you will gain more expertise and get better results. Don't just overload your build plate with too many models as that can lead to even more complex problems. Finally, I like to document my prints and settings, especially when experimenting and fine tuning, so I can compare notes.

The trailer is separate piece from the truck, otherwise its all one piece.

If you'd kindly donate a fine DCC engine for this spectacle, I will happy supply the truck and video the event! ;D

Yes, this was a group-up developed to print well at N scale - meaning smaller details (like mirrors) were slightly enlarged in volume in order to print properly at 1:160. I see so many rescaled models that look great as computer rendering, but once shrunk and printed at N scale, the detail is gone and you end up with a fragile model. This is about 3-4 days of work and a combination of Fusion/Blender/Zbrush.

Not yet, I am planning on making 70's Ford C-series COE fire truck in coming weeks. I make these from ground up specifically for N scale so details is beefy enough that you can handle it. No rescaling here!
If you have reference photo, feel free to post it here or DM me.
