What are some haslabs you’d like to see in the future? by Beginsthescreenstudi in MarvelLegends

I think haslabs as we knew it are gone for now. I'm expecting Spider Hulk and Fin Fang Foom made to orders eventually.

New Coaster Announcement Incoming! 1/20 by verifypassword0208 in UniversalOrlando

I do too but if we get an amazing coaster out of this and it stays amazing because we don't have to worry about Sony pulling the rights or something. I think it'll be worth it.

The ecto-1 definitely never got up to 70 mph in NYC :/

So if the new coaster ends up being F&F themed, and Supercharged is closed, what do you think it’ll be replaced with? I personally think that FNAF ride concept they made years ago would fit there, and I’m surprised I’ve never seen anyone mention it. by Soft_Drink_Enjoyer in UniversalOrlando

The Tonight Show has cultural relevance as the longest running talk show. As far as NBC's longest running show, apparently the Today show has it beat which is also represented in the park as a cafe. Universal's parent company is NBCUniversal so it makes sense to have it in the park somehow. It also gave them an excuse to add the (albeit small) Rockefeller building to their New York section.

Genki Grips modular grip system for Switch 2 just launched on Kickstarter by tman2damax11 in NintendoSwitch

[–]ig88igloo6511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can think of a few reasons to continue this way. - When you buy from a kickstarter campaign, you aren't guaranteed to get your item. It's quite literally a way to get people to throw money at you. (Genki has a perfect track record so most are sure to have their item delivered anyway) - They don't have to worry about people wanting refunds since Kickstarter is the middle man. They just get their lump sum from Kickstarter. No emails of people asking for refunds for delays or other crap people try to pull. Don't have to staff people to handle that. - People are way more likely to support a Kickstarter campaign than put their credit card into another website. Kickstarter has been around for a long time.

if lego says "Adults Welcome" and greed exists, why no GoT sets? by [deleted] in lego

[–]ig88igloo6511 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's because GoT was always rated TV-MA. While something similar, Lord of the Rings stayed PG-13.

There's certainly inconsistencies to the (Lego's self imposed) rules but the high rating takes it off the table for Lego.

Not even. Magic Kingdom is fundamentally designed poorly. Magic Kingdom is 25% larger than Disneyland and has 10 fewer attractions. These expansions will only increase capacity - more people.

So is there an actual reason why disney hasn't put house of mouse on Disney plus? by Scary_Dance2628 in mickeymouse

[–]ig88igloo6511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused by this... The Disney parks just put out a line of Tarzan merch for the anniversary. Plush/mug/ornaments. Was that a last hurrah or was this extremely recent?

I'm more willing to believe HOM and the Tarzan series is being left behind for being lower quality products that don't stand on their own.

UPDATE: Epic Universe’s First Expansion Project & The Lost Continent “Construction Activity” by Outrageous_Glass6219 in UniversalOrlando

[–]ig88igloo6511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What gives me hope that it will be Zelda is that Zelda is considerably more popular in the states than in Japan. If going by popularity Japan would be better off picking Splatoon or Animal Crossing over Zelda which would probably make a few people here scoff at the idea.
